I sure do, but as a nation we do as well because we have moved away from Him, the same hand that has watched over us since our foundation. You may not agree, but I'm going to say it and believe it, and not hide it.

Christian Evangelicals that used to claim to be "the moral majority" and promote family values tossed Jesus aside and latched onto a womanizing, hateful and divisive corrupt liar, who assaulted and made sexual remarks about teen girls, his own daughter and got a porn star pregnant while cheating on his wife. He's a convicted felon, says disgusting things practically every time he speaks.

Someone being "sent by God" is someone who leaves their former past behind and changes. Someone referenced the Apostle Paul. He had a dramatic conversion and then dedicated his life to preaching Jesus and against the rigid religious leaders of the day. He was tortured, put in prison and killed for his faith.

Trump sells gold sneakers, coins and signed Bibles. He's a fraud.

God can "use" anyone for His will, but Trump certainly is not "sent" by God.

We had to get rid of the godless commie that goes to Church every Sunday in favor of the serial adulterer who never goes to Church because the latter is obviously God's chosen.

Once again, you people can't separate policy from identity politics.  Religious people have made a significant contribution to the country.  Terrible values like family, community, charity.  Just terrible.

So tell me, who is a better advocate for this group, DJT or Kamala Harris?

I just want to remind you that this all started because you said this:

You know Biden actually dedicates himself to his faith and sets a good example every single week. However, you instead are celebrating a guy pandering to you instead. This is exactly why people can't really take any of this seriously.

First, it appears we are living what the Founder's envisioned where people are welcome to not believe while leaders are free to proclaim providence and prayer.

Second, I didn't think about Biden but welcome it and yeah that makes me proud as well. I'm still waiting for those quotes of him encouraging prayer and turning to God.

Third I'm glad he lives it, but I personally do want to hear leaders proclaiming it as well like JFK. You won't agree, but again, that's the system the Founder's envisioned.

awww, did someone learn a new word at school today?

That's not true - you're attributing bad behavior of the minority and exploiters to the entire group.

You don't find it a little silly that you put more stock in a guy hawking $60 Bibles and telling you to go to church than the guy who leads by example and doesn't push his religion on you?

Providence is what we are talking about, so I'll say providence a lot.

I find it interesting that people are so triggered not only by Trump but belief and pride over providence (WGB). He said a good thing to many people. You don't agree. Cool.

And how many women priests has his alleged church had again?

There are women pastors. There are lots of denominations and types of churches, not just Catholic. Granted, there are many churches that still believe women should not be pastors. However, they get around it by calling them "Director" of some ministry and just not the title pastor. It's dumb. But there are women pastors in the Christian faith. There are some famous women authors and teachers who travel around and have a popular ministry, like Joyce Meyer for example.

I don't remember him encouraging prayer and turning to God, but welcome those quote. Being proud of Trump doesn't mean I won't be proud of Biden or any others. The truth here is many of you hate Trump with a passion. You'll hate anything he says or does, which is fine. Many of you also don't like religion or God, which is also fine. I can be proud of Biden, JFK, Trump, Washington, or any others who have encouraged belief in providence. You can accept the difference or move on.

Also, I know you probably are going to be fine with it, but remember Trump's speeches at the Prayer Breakfast events?

Quote

In a keynote address before Trump’s speech, Arthur Brooks, a Harvard professor and president of a conservative think tank, had decried a "crisis of contempt and polarization” and urged his listeners to ”love your enemies.”

"I don’t know if I agree with you,” said Trump. He then took a swipe at Utah Sen. Mitt Romney, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who had cited his faith in becoming the only Republican to vote for Trump’s removal.

"I don’t like people who use their faith as justification for doing what they know is wrong,” Trump said.

"Nor do I like people who say, ‘I pray for you’ when you know that is not so,” Trump added, in a reference to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has offered that message even as she led the impeachment effort.

Pelosi, a practicing Catholic, reiterated that she often prays for Trump.

"I pray hard for him because he’s so off the track of our constitution, our values, our country,” she said after the breakfast. "He really needs our prayers.”

Dude used the National Prayer Breakfast to straight up discourage people from praying and loving your enemies. Definitely sounds like God is working through him.

My only issue is you acting like Republicans are bringing God back and it's "been too long". Can you even go three miles in this country without running into a church?

Remember when Democrats made Christmas illegal? Those were dangerous times.

OK, so you are taking more issue with me saying it's been a long time not knowing Biden said it than anything else? Cool, I'm glad you sent that. Happy to move on now or do you want to complain more about Trump and religion, which I'm guessing is the case?

This is like Toaster getting angry because Jesus died for our sins without asking first lol

Seems you do not know the difference between sent and chosen.  Whatever God words come out of his vile mouth were not sent to him by God.  Get real.  It comes from his own free will and you will never convince me that he is any sort of a Christan person, so please stop trying.

Anyway, I can't believe how badly this all went today.

Well, that's a discussion that would take longer.

I have 1 question.

Why is it almost daily that I hear about someone with the church committing sex crimes against children?

Does not seem to go with the teachings you all seem to expect us to follow.

I'm not sure what you're saying here, that only a "minority" of Evangelicals voted for Trump?

They abandoned faith and principles for Trump. They can no longer claim they are voting on moral grounds. If they want to say they're voting for policy that's fine. But pretending Trump is the "Christian" candidate is ridiculous.

For anyone who thinks Harris was a terrible, unqualified candidate, which female dem do you think would've beat Trump instead of her? Anyone seriously think Whitmer would've won instead?

yeah, i'm still waiting to hear who this likable woman is that repugs think would actually have a chance.
