Im sure most grocery stores increased their prices due to increase in direct and indirect cost increases (overhead like shipping, electric, etc) But I have noticed and read stories about grocery stores with digital price tags changing the prices throughout the day which makes sense. Sometimes its a business decision to capitalize on economic landscape and shopping habits. At the end of the day neither side is capable of fixing this, which is why it wasn't a factor my decision.
