It's true everywhere, we have plenty data on this.

Data generated by who? It's easy enough to generate data supporting all but the most extreme positions.

Disappointingly, he seems to be a bit of a bad sport.

Van is a good guy. He has to feel pretty upset about things and is just taking some time. Understandable.

I honestly don’t get my state of NC.  Trump won rather easily, but we elected a Dem governor, Dem Atty General, and lots of other Dems down the ballot.  Honestly, that’s the shocking thing to me - not that Trump won.

The number of split ballots were astonishing in this election and I think it's something that will be looked at more when the dust settles and everyone calms down a bit. A lot of people that voted Trump also voted down-ballot Dem, including for abortion protections, etc. Numerically, the magnitude of Trump's win should have translated to a 56 Republican Senate and an expanded house majority but it didn't. This is something for Democrats to build on once they emerge from the fetal position.

I know, sometimes I just say things to see who has me on ignore.

Closer than it should have been, but hopefully she goes away for good.

I'm maintaining my position that Kari Lake looks like she could play the role of Blanche Devereaux in a modern day remake of The Golden Girls.

Loving the #ArtWillSaveUsAll tag.

True.

So true.

We need to recast all of them. Sigourney Weaver as Dorothy?

Democrats won lots of races down the ballot.  Not just governor.  And they broke the Republican supermajority in the state legislature.

Do you think if the Republicans put up a good nominee for governor that he would have won?

It’s feeding conspiracy theories.  We may have to attack the Capitol after all.

Robinson was the lieutenant governor, not some nobody.  So I don’t know.

This is a great point, but at least consider my well-reasoned counterargument from my decades of political experience and extensive education (including multiple advanced degrees).

Harris needs to ditch the pants suits already.

Get some pencil skirts. For goodness sake, show some leg. You've got 5 days.

No, pants suits, though.

They're 0-2

I understand, but Lt. Gov. or not, he was a tainted candidate and should have pulled out after everything started to hit the fan.

Polls and election results, numbnuts.

I literally haven't watched that show since the cast was: Jim Belushi, Billy Crystal, Mary Gross, Christopher Guest, Rich Hall, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Martin Short (1984). Even then it wasn't every week. 1983 was probably the last time I watched every week because of Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscopo.

So you’re old.  Got it.

Va Beach has never heard of Wayne’s World or the Church Lady.  I respect it

I'm getting there. Seems like it was just a couple of days ago that I was 21 though. The years that I mentioned above, (83 and 84), I was 14 and 15.

I've heard of them and I've seen clips of them here and there. But as for actually watching the show itself, no. I mostly lost interest after Eddie and Joe left the show.

The amusement park in my neck of the woods (Kings Dominion near Richmond, VA which was featured in the 70's movie 'Roller Coaster') had a section of the park that was Wayne's World themed and a pretty good roller coaster named "The Hurler", back in the middle 90's.

I wonder if they were really split or if there just a ton of people who voted for president and little else

I'm sure it's a little of both but I think they can track split tickets, at least (albeit inexactly) via exit polling
