I'm enjoying the excuses already lining up. Can't wait for the "inflation was already out of control. Not much he could've done"

This is going to be a fun 4 years

I'm enjoying the TDS folk in here once again supporting/being everything they profess to hate 🙂

t's hilarious. But yeah, I bet they have his phones tapped hoping he reaches out to him so they can impeach him.

You know, I wasn't entirely sure I could get you to say it but you didn't disappoint.

So you are ignorant of history. Doesn't shock me.

You just praised a dictator for being restrained who invaded a sovereign nation and is actively committing genocide against their people.

Damn right I did. Once again, you do not understand history. Your ignorance isn't surprising that you put this on all Putin.

Baker promised to Gorbachev NATO wouldn’t move an inch eastward if they united Germany.

2002 we left the ballistic missile treaty, we put in missile systems in Eastern Europe.

Two years later seven countries like Romania and Latvia were invited to NATO. Putin didn’t do anything.

Skipping a few regime changes we were a part of in Ukraine

Then the stupid idea of Ukraine being part of NATO kept being floated. Obama had the common sense not to pursue it during his first term, but Biden started it up again, and Putin invaded. If any country did that near us we'd have been at war a lot earlier.

Is he crazy and bloodthirsty and a dictator? Yeah, but you don't keep giving one a reason or pushing him into a corner....like a after he says US missiles hitting Russia is an act of war and Biden says to send them.

So laugh like the ignoramus you are 🙂

It reminds me of when you were laughing and promising to save the quotes of me predicting the EC correctly saying Trump was going to win. What did you ever do with those quotes you were going to shove in my face? How did that work out for you 😂

Why is he kidnapping children? Is NATO making him do that too?

I said he was restrained. Dictator/evil/etc is another matter. Go down that list and tell me how many we'd have put up with.

Didn't you just suggest I study history?

And? Guy mostly kept to his own borders before we kept breaking our word and pushing east. This isn't a Chamberlain situation.

And

Can you think of a time in history when the U.S., and the world, was faced with a choice as to whether they should push a bloodthirst dictator who was actively committing genocide into a corner?

Yeah, Stalin. What else you got? You would have been a warmonger back then, huh? Oh, currently China with the Uyghurs. Again, what else you got?

Do we need anymore proof? They're unamerican traitors. Every last one of them.

At this point the only thing left to do is to coax it out of them and see if they notice.

I'm sorry, how is it not American to not want us into a war with Russia? Oh, WGB, please go down my list and tell me what the US would have put up with close to our borders. It's not praise, but it's the truth that Russia was restrained. For close to 30 years we pushed things east against our word.

mayanh8, I just gave two examples you didn't know about. Decided to move on from proving further ignorance while trying to laugh?

That's a lot of posting to blame the US and its allies for maintaining a strong defensive posture against a historically belligerent state actor.

You realize how important the strength part of the peace through strength policy is, right?

So how exactly was Russia a threat in the mid to late 90s when we were working with them while pushing east against our word? Why was breaking the deal in 02 and putting in missiles necessary? Again, we almost went to war in the 60s for missiles off our coast. What on that list would the US have put up with without going to war if they were putting missiles close to us?

When Stalin invaded Finland, he was officially allied with the one relevant dictator you are intentionally ignoring. And China isn't invading anyone, yet.

So you have nothing. Got it. Post WW2 they ignored it.

You need professional help.

You talked about Stalin pre WW2 not the genocide he committed after.

You'll have to ask all the former Soviet states who were eager to enter into a defensive alliance to bolster security for their citizens after spending generations under the thumb of Russians.

Stalin was alive for a grand total of 8 years after the end of WWII. Unless I missed a few days of world history class, he never invaded another sovereign country after that. I don't understand what you are getting at.

"Can you think of a time in history when the U.S., and the world, was faced with a choice as to whether they should push a bloodthirst dictator who was actively committing genocide into a corner"

Well, they sat and watched him form the USSR while committing genocide in the millions after WWII, so yeah, that's what I'm getting at. Currently they are watching genocide in China. Hopefully, we can both agree that we hope nothing escalates and move on to fight about something else.

It would be interesting if Putin gave a long range missile or two to a third party actor and they struck in Alaska.

The premise was finding a historical comparison for Putin, who is actively invading sovereign countries and wiping out their population. It's Hitler. You mentioned Stalin. He invaded neighboring countries as an ally of Hitler and the NSDAPs during WWII. Afterward, he spent a few years installing sympathetic leaders in Eastern European countries until he got sick and died.

Maybe you can shoot me over a link referencing the post-WWII genocides Stalin perpetrated in his final few years after the war?
