July 19, 20241 yr Trump's speech was a charade on the American people. It wasn't real. It's like going before the Senate Judiciary committee and telling the Senators you believe in precedent, Roe v. Wade is the law of the land, and that no one, even the president, is above the law. It's all an act. Tell the people what you think they want to hear and then act completely opposite. It's a con man telling lies like he has done his whole life.

Normal people saw that for the first time last night, and well..."rambling" was the top trend on Twitter. After that debacle, we have an actual race again. Trump could have delivered a knockout blow last night but instead punched himself in the face...repeatedly. Everyone has seen Trump speak my dude. the entire world has been obsessed with it for the better part of a decade now.

You know he's hearing about the lukewarm response to it this morning and absolutely seething over it. Calling him boring is probably the ultimate insult for him. As a guy who only cares about ratings, nothing cuts deeper. Call him fat, stupid, mean, etc, and it doesn't even register, he's heard it all before and wears it like a badge of honor, but boring? That's probably a dagger. The chances of him going right back to his dialed up, bitter, hateful rhetoric are all but guaranteed now. That whole "changed-man" shtick is going to age real well about 2-3 weeks from now.
