Move to a democracy instead of a republic. The founders weren't stupid. They didn't want the masses in cities (larger states) to rule the country making most of the country obsolete. Too bad for you I guess.Good luck getting WY, UT, ID, ND, SD, KY and others to vote to change that.

There is less than zero chance of the EC being eliminated, and it shouldn't be. The winner take all for ECs in 48 out of 50 states is what disenfranchises voters in all but like 7 states. I'd support states going to a proportional award of EVs -- maybe 25% to the winner, the remaining 75% split by the vote or congressional district. But that can only happen if all the states do it at once -- TX won't do it unless they know CA will as well.

So, it will never change.

National popular vote would be a disaster and is not what was intended.
