Absentee/mail ballots must be processed before they can be counted, and in many states, processing can begin before ballots are allowed to be counted.

Funny how all states used to be able report their results overnight, but now it takes days to count for certain states, and when that happens, the Republicans NEVER win.  Funny how that works out.  Really funny.

FL got its act together. If people don't want to hear about election fraud, maybe these other states should do so as well. There is no reason they can't.

The FACT here is that it's because Republicans have blocked any effort to count mail-in ballots ahead of election day.

Each individual mail-in ballot has to be manually opened, validated, and cross referenced (to ensure against ballot stuffing) against in person votes. And this is done in front of poll watchers from each party IIRC.

They could count mail-in ballots sooner, but then how could Republicans claim victory ahead of what are still largely Democrat leaning voters sending their ballots in the mail?

The Minorites for Trump movement reminds me of the Queers for Palestine movement.

Not only this neighborhood, throughout the entire area of Chesapeake, Virginia Beach and areas of Norfolk (which I've only been in Norfolk briefly)... I don't think I've been into Portsmouth or Suffolk in recent months.

Directly next door on one side is a lesbian couple (they've told me that their house is 'haunted', and they're not the first ones in that house to tell me that  ). Across the street, a mixed African-American/Caucasian couple. Hispanic and Asian. Muslim, Christian and Jewish. 5 miles down the road, is a Muslim community center. So very much diverse.

So trying to characterize an area that you're completely unfamiliar with as 'hillbilly heaven' is entirely unfair, offensive and closed minded. This neighborhood (and the ones nearby), being made up mostly of current and former military, is very diverse like you'd see in the military. Are some of them hiding their political affiliation? Maybe. But they've never done it in past elections.

Thats what they do. And thats why they are the reason that Trump has such a huge following. They arent smart enough to get it. If they want Trumpism to go away, they need to stop being the way they are. His popularity is the equal, opposite reaction to their behavior.

Desperate times for the communist ticket. She’ll get more unhinged every day from here on out

Was at the Eagles game today and parked in Citizens Bank lot.  They had security go around and make sure people took down political flags.  I’m assuming it was all political flags since there weren’t any Harris flags, but were Trump ones they I saw.  Was just something interesting I saw, but this wasn’t something that was enforced if not allowed a prior games.

Probably smart. No reason to risk fans instigating political beef in a place where emotions/adrenaline run high and booze flows freely.

Yeah, if fans called Mike Scott the n-word for wearing a Redskins jersey, imagine what they would say to someone with a Harris flag

Except states never certified election results overnight. It was all based on projections of initial ballots counted.

If Trump conceded like every other losing candidate in history we wouldn’t have such a prolonged wait. Instead he whines like a baby until every last ballot is counted.

If Trump possessed a shred of magnanimity, and could force himself to say one nice thing about John McCain, I think Meghan McCain might actually back him. She seems to want to but can’t because of the crappy things he said about her old man. Wouldn’t matter much but she seems to be some sort of media figure.

"Other than that Mrs Lincoln, how was the play?"

It'd be pretty tough for anyone to support someone who was that disrespectful to your dying and later recently deceased father. You'd have to be a Ted Cruz level boot licker to get over that.
