My summer goal is to attempt a somewhat authentic beef cheek barbacoa if I can find beef cheeks anywhere. I'm not going to do the super traditional method of digging a hole and burying it, but figured I'd try smoking on my Webber and wrapping in banana leaves for the last part of the cook.

I have some beef cheeks for you.

I think Hurts takes us to the SB again. Winning it is another story

The NFL is competitive.  As much as we may like Hurts, he is not Mahomes. The Eagles look like the strongest team in the NFC now but injuries and a long season make repeating difficult.  The Giants have improved and the Cowboys are still a good team.  The Eagles could end up as a wild card team instead of hosting a playoff game.  I tend to think the big factor would be injuries rather than just the team playing worse.  They have a harder schedule and because of that will have a harder time getting the #1 seed.

I know many will roll their eyes over this but I keep seeing videos of Saquon Barkley training and my goodness he's a tank. I think he's in for a HUGE year. The Giants are going to surprise some people.

6 or 7 wins.  Anything more than that and you're right -- I'll be very surprised.  It's not a guarantee Barkley doesn't hold out

Schmintz will upgrade their O-line.  They should be better on defense.  They have the best interior defensive lineman in the division.  If Barkley can carry them, they will be good but if he gets hurt I think their offense will suffer.  They don't have much at WR.  They are putting a lot of hope on Darren Waller being a big upgrade. He's 30 and has had back to back years where he missed significant games due to soft tissue type injuries.

If Sterling Shepard is healthy, they have a very respectable WR group.

Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton, Jamison Crowder are all solid veterans. Jalin Hyatt was a stud at Tennessee and brings an element of speed the Eagles might have trouble covering. They also signed Bryce Ford-Wheaton as an UDFA. Not sure how he didn't get drafted but he's a 6-3 225 lb. WR that can run. He reminds me a lot of Hank Baskett.

Waller could very well be a big upgrade but he also could be on a sharp decline to the end of his career.

The Barkley contract/hold out and his health along with Daniel Jones is what will make that team go this year.

I actually like their WR's a little bit. They don't have the stud #1 guy but they have some potentially good pieces. If Wan'Dale Robinson doesn't have too much of a setback, I think he could be really good. Hodgins was their Travis Fulgham, so it will be interesting to see if he was a fluke or is legit. Paris Campbell and Jalin Hyatt give them some speed options, although Campbell is always hurt. And there's still Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard.

Todd McShay was one of the people let go by ESPN today. Draft coverage next year will be different for them.

Look at that.  Mel Kiper outlasted his replacement.

This is the time of the year when it’s obvious that every team is headed for at least a .500 record. It’s just a matter of how far over .500 they’ll be.

Not a fan of Mel at all, but McShay was just cringe to watch. I kind of felt sorry for him because it was always obvious that he was in way over his head.

That's barely a rookie!

Do we have ANY faith in the Sixers doing the right thing? I sure don't.

Especially if the refs suck again.

Vick was just about cooked when Kelly got rid of him. I have no issue at all with that decision. Foles was coming off the 27-2 season, making the decision an easy one.

And then he made a point to play extra hard when facing us even after Chip was fired...

Vick's talents were wasted. If he studied the game in the beginning then he likely has a few rings. He relied on his physical gifts too much

And, like, the whole wasting his prime years in jail thing

Fun fact
