What does ‘rate limit exceeded’ mean on Twitter?

For now, it means users will only be able to scroll so far before they hit their daily limit.

I can assure you that is not the case. Hopefully it is indeed temporary.

You don’t. If it appears on your screen, it counts as a read tweet.

Ugh.  That’s just silly then.

Maybe a 600 tweet limit is a good thing for society. If people continue to use the platform, they are now forced to do it much more intentional rather than mindless scrolling. Habits could be changed to interact with news and information that is relevant to you and your personal interests. It could also keep people from getting caught up with trolls and avoiding the comments all together. Read what's important and leave it at that. Get on and get off.

What Twitter needs to do a better job of IMO, is change how the "For You" section is created. I've been using that more as of recent because some of the subjects suggested are interesting to me, it's how I found that Vintage NFL account for instance. However, I've clicked NOT INTERESTED on things I couldn't care less about many many times and they still try to push things on me. It seems like daily I click not interested on Lebron James, WNBA and Pop Culture stories yet they still show up. That needs to be fixed.

Otherwise, I scroll through my Following and Eagles News sections and there's no way I come close to 600 tweets. I'm only following roughly 60 accounts though so I wouldn't expect to see that many tweets.

Yes sir!  The best part of the USA in my opinion has been and will always be (if we protect them) our public lands.  No amount of money is worth the peace, a sense of wonder and connection to nature that they bring.

I’m developing a theory that a dominant pass rushing 3-tech is now the second most important position in the NFL. It’s much rarer than an all-pro caliber edge, team success is heavily impact by their performances, and they influence the performance of their edges much more than vice versa.

Would you say Leonard Williams and Dexter Lawrence are the best DT combo in the NFL?

A lot of good that best combo in the NFL did against the Eagles offensive line.

Since I don’t have an account I only see "wearing the wrong…show more” with no way of reading it.

So I can only assume it’s the wrong helmet.

Bad officiating happens. It's sports.

Having that quality of field in a SB? Unacceptable.

Usually I find Florio to be a blow hard who makes mountains out of molehills but on this I agree completely.  The NFL screwed up the most important game of the season with that slop field.  Just admit it and do better!

Privately, the NFL blamed Super Bowl slipping on players wearing the wrong cleats

There’s no dispute that the Super Bowl LVII playing surface was less than subpar. A dispute lingers regarding why players were slipping and sliding on a grass field that neutralized the pass rushes, to the benefit of the Chiefs and to the detriment of the Eagles.

Was it the grass? Was it the watering? Was it something else?

To their credit, the Eagles don’t use it as an excuse for losing. Then again, they don’t need to. Those who understand how a slippery field impacts football players realize that, given the strengths and weaknesses of the two teams, the situation hurt the Eagles more than it hurt the Chiefs. (Most recently, Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham said simply that the Chiefs’ offensive line was "blessed ” by the field conditions.)

The NFL has an unofficial excuse for the situation, one that has been communicated when owners ask about it. Per a league source, the league blames the players for not wearing the right shoes. (The Eagles changed their cleats — and it didn’t seem to matter.)

Setting aside the fact that there should have been no reason for the teams to anticipate needing different types and sizes of cleats for a game that supposedly will be played under pristine conditions, the manner in which the field was torn up during the game shows that, regardless of whether the teams were able to properly adjust, the field never, ever should have been in that condition.

Not for the most-watched game of the season. Not for any game, if the league truly cares about the health and safety of the players.

Baddell can sit on an upside down cleat and spin.

He probably does for fun anyways.

As a settlement, he agreed to this on the following conditions: The kicker get's just one kick, must begin from 7 yards away and must attempt the kick on that very same playing surface. If the kick misses, the uppercut is forfeited.  Goodell feels pretty confident about his outlook.

Yeah the league should just hold their hands up, everybody who watched that game knows the playing surface sucked and when the whole f'ng match up is the NFL's best passing offense against the best pass rushing defense, putting it on a field that defenders can't keep their footing on tends to skew the game somewhat.

Hey who knows maybe KC find a way regardless, God knows our secondary took the second half off, but I know for damn sure if our top 5 sacks in a regular season all time defense had gotten to a gimpy Mahomes early the game would've been more reflective of the season as a whole.

The way I look at it is if the NFL has deemed that surface acceptable, then why can't a city like Philadelphia host a Super Bowl? Right now, they are all about domes and nice weather locations, but if you have perfect weather and everybody is still losing their footing --- and that's perfectly acceptable, then it's time to let "bad weather" cities host Super Bowls.

Happy 247th USA

Closest we got was 2014 with the Giants/Jets stadium hosting.  That was a singular occurrence unfortunately.

Yup, that was a nod to NYC after 9/11.   I doubt we'll ever see another outdoor "cold" city Super Bowl.

Happy 4th of July! I can't believe that we're already racing toward another season. Seems like the draft just happened.

Happy 4th!!!

Came across this clip and it got me thinking about the good ol' Eagles Live days and why that probably wouldn't be great for the team in today's media landscape.

Ha.  I was thinking the same thing. "Swamp music” from CCR was great but so is true swamp music, zydeco or the delta blues, take your pick. Zydeco is great dancing music.  Those that think NO jazz is swamp music don’t understand the geology of NO.  Traditionally, NOLA was the area around the French Quarter that is higher and doesn’t flood.  That is because the French Quarter is higher because it s on an ancient barrier island swallowed by the shifting of the Mississippi and its delta.  NO is a port city, not truly the swamp, even if bordered by swamp. (BTW, it must be the ten and a half years I spent as a child living in NO that causes me to like zydeco. My PA raised kids hate it. Can’t be the accordion because they like Weird Al.) I equate zydeco to shrimp fresh off the boat in a burlap bag in a shrimp boil of Zatarins, blue crab from the mouth of Bayou St. John and the Lake and the fathers drinking Jax, Falstaff or Dixie (back in the days before pop tops where a church key was needed), while smoking oysters on the half shell on the grill.  Afterwards, if the skeeters weren’t too bad, the folks would push back the chairs and dance to zydeco on the radio.  My folks were from the Midwest but the neighbors were New Orleans through and through. My neighbor, Mr. Chuck played bass in a Dixieland jazz band at the Fountainbleu on Sunday nights.  (Don’t want to romanticize NO in the 50s and 60s too much.  It was highly and visibly segregated and prejudiced so much so that I recall it.)
