The steam store… that like the steam room you follow Hurts into on a daily basis?

I’m @olsilverhair was making his rounds

Big surprise about the news. Out of respect for the title of the blog, that's all I say.

Personally, I'm curious to see what Musk's final product will look like. But as a person that doesn't actually have a twitter account, I definitely don't care for these temporary measures. I've already lost the ability to search twitter without an account. Now I can't even open tweets from people I like to follow (unofficially).

They apparently reverted the viewing issue. So you can look at a tweet and replies without signing in.

Yeah. I can click on tweets, but I have to use something like Google search or see them embedded on a site in order to click on them. I still can't, for example, look up @BaldyNFL and view his twitter feed. Hopefully, that will get "fixed" soon.

Phillies they are gonna add a bat at the deadline. Harden situation might take a while to happen if it does.

Ah. Hopefully that comes back, but I don’t have faith it does 😞. Need an account or need to stalk this thread to get all the updates…or everyone moves to Threads.

Okay, I was looking at the Depth Chart and had the following question I’d love to hear the Blog’s thoughts on:

(1) Book vs McGee … who do you prefer?

(2a) Scott … keep or trade?

(2b) Scott or Sermon or a 4th RB not currently on the roster?

(3) Do we want the "light to go on” for Devon Allen?

(4) Does our O-line depth NEED to be upgraded?

(5) Three DEs? Or four?

(6) Is Milton Williams a legitimate depth player at DE?

(7) Carter, Davis, Williams, and Cox are all DT locks.  Of the remaining players who do you want to see on the 53-man roster.? Street? Oromo? Tuipulotu? Noah Elliss?

(8a) Can Patrick or Kyron Johnson be anything other than SAM depth?

(8b) If "no” can Howie get trade value for either of them?

(9a) My ideal LB depth chart is Dean and Christian Elliss starting, with VanSumeren and Morrow as depth.  Thoughts?

(9b) Bradley is cut and the light has finally gone on for Taylor, so Taylor and/or one of the two Johnsons is LB #5.

(10) How many CBs do we keep, and how many Safeties?

If you’re a Phillies fan not good. This feels eerily similar to the SerAnthony Dominguez fiasco with his elbow. Where everyone knew he should’ve just had the Tommy John surgery and he would’ve missed that year then half of the next year. but instead they wanted to do the rehab that didnt work then he had to have the surgery wound up missing two years instead of one and a half.

So disappointing.

Washington was pressured to rename. It wasn't something they even wanted to entertain and they fought that for years.

So last month I was driving across the Navajo Nation and passed a high school called Red Mesa. Recognized the symbol immediately and quickly realized the team name was the Redskins.

Sherman was 33 at the time. He played only one more game that season and that was in Week 14.

Smith was still just 22 when it could be argued that he ended Sherman’s career on that October night in South Philadelphia.

Come on.  Father Time ended Sherman's career.  Sigh...  The current state of 'journalism' is just sad and pathetic.

(1) Book vs McGee … who do you prefer?  McKee

(2a) Scott … keep or trade  Scott has no trade value

(2b) Scott or Sermon or a 4th RB not currently on the roster?  Scott

(3) Do we want the "light to go on” for Devon Allen?  There is no light; he's a track guy

(4) Does our O-line depth NEED to be upgraded?  With one injury, yes

(5) Three DEs? Or four?  Is Nolan Smith a LB or DE?

(6) Is Milton Williams a legitimate depth player at DE?  No, but he should get as many or more snaps than Cox at DT

(7) Carter, Davis, Williams, and Cox are all DT locks.  Of the remaining players who do you want to see on the 53-man roster.? Street? Oromo?

Tuipulotu? Noah Elliss?  Can't imagine any being better than bottom of roster players

(8a) Can Patrick or Kyron Johnson be anything other than SAM depth?  No

(8b) If "no” can Howie get trade value for either of them?  No

(9a) My ideal LB depth chart is Dean and Christian Elliss starting, with VanSumeren and Morrow as depth.  Thoughts?  Morrow is better than Eliss today

(9b) Bradley is cut and the light has finally gone on for Taylor, so Taylor and/or one of the two Johnsons is LB #5.  Okay(?)

(10) How many CBs do we keep, and how many Safeties?  5 CB, 4 Safeties

Honestly TJ surgery for pitchers now is becoming more and more common. It’s more of when not if. He should’ve just did it back in March. He would’ve been back around June-July 2024. Now it’s likely he has it and out 2023 and 2024

What's more disappointing is that he won't be with the big club and we won't get to see what he can do at the big league level for a long time.

Any hint of impending elbow problems should be a trigger for it, as a lot of guys come back from TJ with the ability to throw harder.

He only just turned 20 in April; he shouldn't even be on the radar as a MLB pitcher for 2-3 years anyway IMO.

1 whoever wins the job.  Too early to tell.

2a. which Scott? Whichever move makes the team better. Too early to tell.

2b #4? Penny has to win a position first. Swift has to show availability.  Gainwell has to show that the second half of 2022 was not his version of Watkins 2021.  In other words no player is locked into a place in the platoon at this point. I want to see improvement across the board, including game planning some routes and screens for the RBs.

3. Of course. We are looking for the best five for the team and at least two for the PS.  Allen is clearly type 5 on the team in athleticism.

4. Depends.  They have a lot of depth but if the opportunity for improvement presents at the right cost, I trust the right move is made.  Remember, Toth is back and the Eagles signed some experienced street free agents to future contracts.

5. The fourth depends a lot on other positions.  May also depend on Barnett trade value.  Also depends on what, if anything, Robinson offers.  Note that in some four man fronts, Patrick Johnson had his hand in the dirt.  He and Reddick both played in four man fronts.

6. Absolutely.  Williams can play DE in the three man fronts and probably in a 4/3 alignment too.

7. Only locks are Davis and Carter but the other two are pretty close.  5th DT or even 6th depends on 4th DE, 9 and 10 DBs, 9 and 10 OL, fourth RB, fifth WR, 3rd QB etc.  All those players are battling for a spot.   The new KOR rule impacts the coverage team too.

8a.  Already do.  PJ played some DE and KJ is showing if he can back up at ILB.  SAM is a misnomer, I think. OLB is closer.

8b  Maybe.  But also can they slide to the PS should be a question as well for them and all the bubble players.

9a.  Only Dean seems like a lock.  Morrow is a vet with starting experience, which is lacking at ILB.  Very few snaps by all the other players, so much to be seen before deciding.  Did like what little we saw of Ellis, but that was in garbage time.

9b. Bradley has been a stalwart on STs, although the new KOR rules can impact that.  Light going. On for Taylor would be nice.  Should be noted his college position coach is the new ILB coach.

10. Depends on 7 above.  No less than 8 would be my guess.

Question/s for the blog…1) who will be the more impressive DT this season, Davis in his 2nd year…slimmed down a bit and reportedly dialed in.  Or Jalen Carter the rookie?

2) Give me your percentage chance that both of these guys live up to their potential and become a historic DT tandem
