Fascinating that a team centered around a tough, beat ‘em up defense is so incredibly soft

But you're comparing success to success, not completion percentage or basic stats straight up.

I just don't think that it's fair to compare the stats from 1945 to 2000. The rules were vastly different, conditioning is different, medical science is different. If the rules and everything were the same, then it wouldn't be as big of a disparity. Not to mention the number  of games played way back vs. during McNabb's career. So it's not a 1 to 1 kind of comparison on many different levels.

McNabb will, or won't get into the Hall of Fame based (I believe), on being compared to his peers.

I love when Niners fan say well if our quarterback didn’t get hurt, we would’ve won. going back all the way to 2018, the Niners are near the top of the league in quarterback injuries. It’s not just Jimmy G is injury prone. Also I don’t think it’s just bad luck. I think it’s Kyle Shanahan calls plays and just does what he does. he tries to be  creative/outsmart defenses but it leads to defenses get some shots at his quarterback. For instance, in that game if you thought your back up tight end was going to block Hasaan Reddick who was hot at that time and had 17.5 sacks entering the game. Add on run a slow developing play action pass. Knowing the eagles pass rush was one of the best we’ve seen in the nfl And close to making NFL history that is a bad game plan to go with. it only takes one of those plays to really change the game completely. And that play was that play.

if I were a Niners fan, I am more pissed off and irritated at Kyle Shanahan’s playcalling early in that game and not challenging the Smith catch. Imo coaching early in that game cost the niners any chance at winning

Kyle Shanahan is vastly overrated, particularly as a game day coach. He was at the helm for some epic collapses, and he keeps coming up short time and again despite having a supremely talented roster. I really don’t get the media’s love affair with him. McVay at least has a ring and 2 Super Bowl appearances.

Very familiar with her. Watched a ton of her earlier videos but she pretty quickly ran out of movies and shows I had any interest in. And she's also not the sharpest knife in the drawer. She's adorable but she's easily confused. I'm happy that she's making that kind of money because she seems nice. But there are other channels that are better than hers.

I'm basically the same, some of her stuff in the past interested me but now she's into the 'b and c... and d' level stuff that I have no interest in. She is super nice though. I've talked to her a handful of times over the past couple of years.

She's making enough profit off her videos that she can afford to pay a video editor $300 per video to do the editing for her.

I like Shanahan. I do think the media overrates him. I don’t think he’s the second best coach in the league like that one list had. To me, I find it very interesting since he’s taking over as head coach the Niners have had a bunch of injuries at that position. And I don’t think it’s just fluke or just Jimmy G. Against Dallas I thought they were fortunate when they took some risk like they did with reddick vs. backup tight end. It just so happens in that game it didn’t lead to complete disaster. Against the Eagles it did.

If I was going into the game against the Eagles last year, I am not running a slow developing deep play action pass with a backup TE trying to block the hottest pass rusher in the league in Reddick. You’re asking for trouble.

I've seen that lady before (popcorn in bed).  Do they really make that much?  I'm all for people getting what they can but that seems like a really good deal for doing movie reactions.

Maybe I should start doing that? 🤔

Take a look at her Patreon page. She has (at this moment) 2,996 Patrons. The lowest level of subscription is $3 per month. The highest level is $15... with $6 and $10 in between. If all 2,996 are at the lowest level, that's almost $9,000 for the month, and that's money that's already been paid to her for this month.

I would imagine the site gets a certain % or cut of that.  She wouldn't get the whole $9K would she?

He’s a really good Monday to Saturday coach. I agree he’s treated like some savant when he’s not, but he’s arguably top 10 I’d say.

If I recall correctly, it's 8%. But remember, the $9k was based on having all of her Patrons paying the lowest amount. I guarantee, 100% guarantee, that this isn't the case. In fact, I would believe that most of her Patrons are at the $10 level so that they have access to her full length videos.

Hope everyone’s having a great summer.

Had to take a break after the SB. Not sure I’ll ever be able come to terms with that one.

I can handle getting beat, but there are just too many "what ifs”….the field, Jalens weird fumble, late game call, etc.

This one was ours and somehow, we grabbed defeat from the jaws of victory.

Oh well, here’s hoping for another shot at it.

PS - didn’t read too far back, but it seems uncharacteristically civil in here now 😄

Maybe my choice of words caused confusion. I'm saying we don't have to compare stat to stat, but we can compare success to success. Did the guy help his team win? Did he put the team on his back and will them to some victories? Did he play big in big games? Was he a top 10, top 5, or the top player in season 1,2,3, etc...? Certainly we can compare attributes. Did a QB have a big arm? Was he a leader? Was he mobile, hard to tackle, or able to keep plays alive with his feet? Was he intelligent, able to read defenses, and understand situational football? Was he durable, dependable?

While we probably won't get an accurate measurement from just a player's stats when comparing him to another player that played at a different time, but there is no reason we can't still compare the players from different eras. You won't see me try to compare somebody to a player that played before I started watching football. But I have no problem comparing Hurts' progress as an NFL QB through his 1st 3 seasons to that of Cunningham, McNabb or Kolb. I actually see a lot of similarities between Hurts' and McNabb's progression, despite playing in different systems in different eras. For example, their rookie seasons were remarkable similar in how they were played. McNabb was given a series here and there while backing up Pederson and then eventually replaced him as the starter late in the year. Hurts was brought in for a play here and there and then eventually replaced a struggling Wentz as the starter to finish the season. Both players showed signs of improvement in their second year and had become top (list) players at their position by their 3rd season.

Samuel already said what he said and he sees what’s coming. We are gonna stomp that ass again, book it.

Dak had a terrible year last year.  He did not look the same after the injury to his thumb but he also had offseason shoulder surgery.  I think that was his second shoulder surgery.  It wouldn't surprise me if the Cowboys try to move on if he has another down season because of injuries.

Jones said the plan is to extend him this offseason
