What’s that big round thing doing shining at night when it’s made entirely of rock …. and cheese?

Hey! What if it were made of BBQ spare ribs? Would you eat then?

Here's what I want to know:

Why does moonShine always make me Black out?

These are the questions...

The main problem with stupid people is that they are stupid. You can never convince them of anything because... stupid.

One of the hardest things humanity has ever done is to escape the earth's gravity. Getting to the moon is relatively easy after that. Landing something on the moon and then getting back to an orbiter was a challenge but still nothing compared to escaping the earth's gravity. When the US landed people on the moon it was nowhere near the first man-made object on the moon. The USSR's Luna 2 crashed into the moon 10 years before the manned moon landing. (1959)

  • The first airplane flight was 1903,
  • Sputnik achieved orbit in 1957
  • Luna 1 escaped the earth's gravity on the way to the moon.in January 1959 (it missed by about 3700 miles)
  • Luna 2 hit the moon hard in September 1959.
  • The Russians landed a probe soft on the moon in 1966 and took pictures.
  • In 1968 Apollo 8 orbited the moon 10 times.
  • Is landing on the moon in 1969 really that big of a stretch?
  • The Russians landed a probe on Venus in 1970. (it fell over on landing and stopped responding after about an hour)
  • They also landed a probe on Mars in 1971. (they lost contact with it shortly after landing)
  • We built a space station in orbit in 1973 (Skylab)
  • There are 2 manmade probes leaving the solar system. They were launched in 1977. (Voyager 1 and 2)
  • The US did not just land people on the moon once. They landed people on the moon 6 times.
  • The Soviets were on their way to doing the same thing in the early 70's but there was no political will to be 2nd so they stopped trying.

Why would you cherry pick one of these things and pretend it was not real? The answer is because you are stupid.

Unpopular Opinion… Charles Woodson is the greatest CB who ever lived. Not only a lock down guy but also more physical than anyone else on this list. He played linebacker and box safety during GB’s SB run in  2010

One of very few players in NFL history to win DMVP at CB, was still first team all-pro at 35

Idk if that's really all that unpopular, I would definitely agree. He's also the only defensive player ever to win the Heisman trophy.

I don’t think anyone who spends their free time on this message board is entitled to call too many people stupid.

There's "I want to draft a RB in round 1" stupid, and there's "the world is flat and the moon landing was fake" stupid. There's a big difference.

Woodson's issue was that he spent a large portion of his career playing for not great teams.

It would be hard to argue against Mel Blount (who didn't even get a mention on the tweet).

I'm more confused how Richard Sherman and Jalen Ramsey are on the list. I don't get the Ramsey hype at all. If he's a top CB, teams wouldn't keep trading to get him off their team. Sherman was part of a great DB backfield but I don't think he's even close to a top CB in NFL history.

Two words:  Recency bias.

It's why the likes of Mel Blount, Lester Hayes, Michael Haynes and Darrell Green (underrated, IMO) aren't on the list.  The person who tweeted that out is likely under the age of 40.

All I know is I'm starting to worry the writers strike will impact the script for the upcoming NFL season.

Going to the moon didn't really escape Earth's gravity, as the Moon is still in orbit of the Earth.  Going to the moon was just achieving a much higher orbit of the Earth, and getting stuck in a local potential well within the larger potential well of the Earth's gravitation.  On the flipside, plenty of smaller exploration missions have escaped Earth's gravity (going back to the very early 1960s, Soviets attempted in the 1960s, US followed in 1962 - Mariner 1 & 2) and gone to explore other planets of the Solar System.  No human has ever 'escaped' from Earth, by definition.
