But I do see a substantial portion of his rookie contract being used to pay these lawsuits and the lawyers defending him.

Kyler Murray was one of the players who participated in the online chess tournament that was held a few weeks back. It was for NFL players. I believe there were eight players total. I watched a bunch of the games. In the first round, Murray was matched up against Chidobe Awuzie, the defending champion. Murray was eliminated, although he surprisingly won the second game in their match. After the first game, I thought he didn't stand a chance because I thought he was pretty bad.

Eventually Awuzie advanced the final where he lost against Drue Tranquill. Overall, the play was kinda lousy. Any decent local chess club player would have won against the field.

He wasn't driving a car that was involved in the accident.  I am not sure whether he had a legal duty to remain at the accident. Even if he did remain, it seems unlikely that aid he could have provided would have lessened the injuries. I do hope he decides to pay for the injuries the victims sustained.
