Anyone know what hotel the eagles stay in when they play at Washington?

Its going to be fun watching a drug-addled, 40-in-December, Rodgers behind a bad O-line.

Really though, when's the last time a NY team gave an old guy a bunch of money and it did not work out?

2 weeks left to go. Lets freezing cold takes expose ourselves. My worst was saying the Chiefs could possibly miss out on the playoffs after trading Tyreek Hill. I thought his absence with replacing him with Juju would really bottle their offense, along with the AFCW looking completely stacked during the off-season but turning out to be pretty bad.

I don’t know if happens but don’t think the bills  win the afc east this year.

I think I stayed in a hotel a few years back during the summer that I was told the Eagles had stayed at the previous fall. Not sure though. Might have been a Hyatt.

That's the best I got.

How cold? Are we talking circa 1971? If so, I think you’re on to something.

I think miami is being overrated

The only thing stopping Miami is Tua getting another concussion.   Ridiculously talented team that was maybe the best team in the league last year when Tua was playing and they have gotten better.

Don’t think it’s just Miami. Miami has the talent to win that division depending on if tua survives. They also have to deal with the jets. DK has the jets as the second highest odds to win the afc east. Their defense might wind up being the best in that division. They were pretty good last year where they really got screwed by the offense in particularly the Qb situation being inept and hanging them out to dry. Imo Rodgers also doesn’t have to be MVP for the jets to navigate them to win 9 games. I think he just has to be solid for that. If he’s actually closer to his 2021 year i can see them winning 10-11 games. They went 7-10 last year with Wilson, white and Flacco playing Qb. Last year in the jets 10 losses if the offense just scored 21 points they'd have 5 more wins and gone 12-5. That’s how bad their offense was and how good their defense played.

Yeah Jets are going to be legit.  The offensive line is a concern but they have one of the best defenses, of not the best in the league.  They made an astronomical improvement at QB and Rodgers will have the best skill players to play with that he has had in years.

Miami not only has a plastic QB, but their head coach hasn't shown to be really good yet.  The jury is still very much 'out' on him.  The Jets have a better defense than Miami, a better QB than Miami, and likely a better head coach.

Stories I've heard about rookies having to take veterans out to dinner and pick up the tab, I wouldn't be surprised if Cox and Graham are more expensive for one meal than that college kid was for the full school year.

I would settle if a reasonable settlement could be reached if I were him. Likely with a summary judgment motion pending. But basically talking five figures with the dead athlete’s family and low five figures with Bowles.  Bowles presence carries a shadow of implied permission for Chandler.  As do alleged texts mentioned in her suit.  That’s bad for the athletic association and in the deceased athlete’s case, UGA.

I am not clear whether she was an employee of the University or the  athletic association.  It seems she would have a WC claim against her employer.    The claims against the athletic association are the strongest.  The claim against Carter is also for engaging in a grossly negligent joint enterprise with LeCroy.  I think that's a better claim than the leaving the scene claim.  He left the scene when others were present and after 911 was called.

Jordan Davis: I'll have the Wagyu.

Waiter: Excellent choice sir, but what cut would you like?

Jordan Davis: Cut?

I’ve seen nothing alleging an agency or course and scope allegation but I can see why they shy away from that as more money in liability than WC and PIP and Helath Coverage would cover the medical. The joint enterprise argument is weak and the problem with that is there would be a strong argument that the participants in Lecroy’s vehicle were knowing participants in such enterprise.  Problem is this is not an organized race (and they won’t argue that due to the racing exclusion).  Thus is Carter liable because he was driving fast too?  I don’t see it.  Thus the leaving the scene argument, which I agree is weak and basically a joint and several argument. (Do you want to be the only culpable party with assets, Mr. Carter argument although quite possible that his car had minimal limits and those have been tendered already so they are arguing to Carter, not an insurer.). The most damning thing I have seen alleged is that Lecroy had four speeding tickets including super speeder.  That enhances the negligent entrustment claim.

I think it will cost Carter some money (probably in the $100k range plus those minimum limits) and if I were him I would settle first, basically "funding” the remainder of the suits.  Personally, I view this sort of claim as borderline extortion, but there is some risk.  (The chance I ever serve on a civil jury is slim and none and slim just left the building.)

My ears perked up when I heard him compared to Brandon Brooks by other players/coaches. That's high, high praise.

Lane also mentioned this comparison. Brooks was much wider and heavier but they're comparing different elements of their games, not size. But I like Steen, would've preferred him in round 4 or as a trade back option in round 3 but I get why they took him where they did and am satisfied there. I think he wins the RG spot in camp.
