I picked em to finish 4th in the division before the season. People said I was crazy.

I said I hated the Turner signing. People said I was crazy.

Moral of the story: listen to your prophet.

LOL, Sherman was a small corner of the field zone defender supported by 2 safeties playing like hall of famers. He's probably the most overrated player in NFL history.

He deserved all pros and pro bowls but the worship was over the top. He's a top 25 all-time CB, not a top 5.

He and Eric Allen have a pretty similar 7 years on their first teams and Allen was better for longer after that. (both belong in the HoF and neither is Jalen Ramsey)

Guys like Deion, Woodson, Ramsey, or Revis makes the other 3 in the secondary much better. A guy like Sherman was just a very nice cog in the machine.

BTW, Mel Blount was far better than most of the guys on the list. They had to make a Mel Blount rule (no contact after 5 yards) because he was not fair to WRs.

Blount was 6'3" 205 in the 70s when 6'1" 220 was linebacker size.

Darrell Green should also be on that list. I have a picture of him if you want.

Thomas was the most overrated one on the Legion of Boom.  Kam is the one that made it work and was the best and most important piece.  Not shockingly when he got hurt and ended up stopping playing the wheels fell off.  Sherman was the next most important piece, and IDK that you can say that someone is top 25 all time but also the most overrated player in NFL history.  That's a special distinction meant for probably Eli Manning or Terry Bradshaw.  Sherman also pretty much covered half the field when Kam was in the box.  Then was Wagner.  And I guess for the 4th best/most important on that roster you could slot Thomas in there, but in all reality till the PED's really took effect and he was able to take something other than his shadow his entire job was to be there when Browner or Maxwell got beat deep (which happened a lot).

It's pretty hard to be more physical than Lane, lol, he basically just assaulted people on the field.

BUT... it was legal back then.

6'3" 205 is a "small" CB?  That's the size of Sherman.  I agree with everything else you said about him, but he was far from small.  He was a big, physical CB who won by beating up his opposite number.

Moral of the story rodon just started pitching this month and has an 5.23 ERA. So far that signing has been bad for the Yankees. and bogaerts hasnt been very good either (turner .250/.302 10 HRs and 34 RBIs. Bogaerts .258/.340 10 HRs and 35 RBIs. Bogaerts also has issues in the field like Turner. Point out neither one of those contracts look good right now). Nola has been a mess and it was you who said he was an ace and kept defending him as he was. And walker has been a good signing especially lately as last 13 starts has a 2.85 era (eflin last 13 starts is 3.32). So there’s that which as a prophet you didn’t see coming and people called you crazy for those too…

I wouldn't have given Bogaerts that contract either. Nola has been fine, he has been the best pitcher in baseball this year. People are just trying to slander him because they think he's an anti-vaxxer. His ERA is under 2.00 and he leads baseball in strikeouts.

I’d like to blame it on the rain delay

I will never understand the fascination with Evan Engram

Eli has 8 playoff games and 2 titles that can go up against almost anyone. He was a huge underdog in at least 6 of those games.

Philip Rivers was way better at regular season stat compiling though.

Eli got killed by Philly so we tend to view him worse than he was  10-21 0-2 vs Philly vs 108-97 and 8-2 vs everyone else.

Bradshaw was an elite QB. The second they changed the rules he became the mad bomber and they won 2 more SBs on his arm.

Yeah, Bradshaw is clearly one of the worst QBs with 4 SBs, a league MVP and 2 SB MVPs.

BTW, nobody thinks Bradshaw is a top 5 QB. He is treated more like an Aikman or who was good in the regular season but earned the HoF in the playoffs.

Watch those SB highlights. Watch those amazing throws. Watch the way he gets annihilated by the Cowboys on legal at the time cheap shots and just gets right back up.

If its the TD to INT thing for you then you need to study the 1970s QB play. Namath had 47 more picks than TDs. Bradshaw was just above even.

Bradshaw was a 112.8 rated passer in 4 SBs in the 70's. That's incredible.

Staubach who was an amazing QB was a 95.4 in 4 SBs.

Bradshaw was awful in his first 2 seasons but who cares?

  • So was Steve Young.
  • Montana was a nobody for 2 years.
  • Peyton Manning was a 32-32 coach killer after 4 years.
  • Phil Simms was a stiff for about 5 years.
  • Jim Plunkett was a bust on 2 teams.

I will take the 14 SBs from those guys over early career stats.

I wouldn’t have paid him that. I don’t think he’s that good to get that contract. Last year he actually had a decent year but not good enough to warrant that contract.  based on the tight ends around the league in 2022 he had 4th most receiving yards of any TE. 3rd most receptions of any TE. And was just outside of the top 10 for Tds for TEs. Still that contract is absurd cause looking statistically there was a lot of injuries at TE and a down year for the position as a whole. Even top 3 mark andrews missed time and had a down year. The drop in talent from top 3 to engram is significant and guys like kittle and goedert missed multiple games.

i wanna see the contract. But this feels entirely like he wanted one last payday and he wasn’t getting it from a contender like KC or Buffalo

I was going to say that the Giants had zero interest in keeping him.

Kelce has 6444 yards and 47 TDs the last 5 years.

Kittle has 4739 and 29

Engram has 2872 and 14

Hunter Henry has 2377 and 20 and he didn't play in 2018.

Engram is a con artist but he just landed this con. Good for him.

Don’t have to worry about him in week 1 with the Pats.

or in the Super Bowl with the Chiefs

Got decent money. Odd place to sign there, he won’t win there, they’re rebuilding.

After a night of playful flirting, I asked a woman last night if 'she wanted to ride on my magic school bus.' She almost spit out her drink laughing.

It was a good night.

I didn't even have to brag about my EMB status points.

Emb status points wouldve clearly sealed the deal

Did DeVonta Smith already reach AJ Brown's level by the end of the season?  Very real possibility that DeVonta has a better year than AJ this upcoming season.

Last 9 games (including playoffs):

AJ Brown had 48 receptions, 801 yards, & 5 TDs.

DeVonta Smith had 54 receptions, 784 yards & 5 TDs.

That's the kiss of death.  That's just where WRs go to die.  Total head scratcher of a move.  He should have taken a 1 year deal on a team with a great QB and then went for a big contract next offseason.
