There are some conspiracy theories that have to be at least somewhat true. I mean come on who believes our government has never lied to the people

LBJ killed JFK

CIA killed Bobby

Burke killed JonBenet

Those aren't even really conspiracy theories, though.

Barkley's deal is only for $22 guaranteed.  I don't think that's terrible.  The Daniel Jones deal means they are essentially committed to him through 2025.  The problem, as I see it, is that his cap hit is pretty substantial in 2024.  I think Andrew Thomas, Waller, Leonard Williams and Adoree Jackson will all be FA's that year.  I could be wrong about Thomas it may be that he will be on his 5th year.  I just think it leaves them in a tough position to roster build going into the 2024 season.

I don’t think it’s a matter of anointing Herbert. I think it’s more simply that he absolutely passes the eyeball test. Forget the W-L record (let’s not revisit the Matthew Stafford argument) and just watch the way the guy plays. He can do it all.

Also, who the hell cares about fantasy football?

You are in the minority here. 50+ million people play fantasy football and the league rakes in profits over it. I will gladly get off your lawn though.

The eyeball test from Sonny Jurgensen: "Man that Patrick Ramsey sure throws a pretty interception."

Kenny Golladay would make those contracts 2nd and 3rd worst. :flex:

I’m a bit upset that Hopkins went to the Titans. That’s the most blaisé move he could have made. If he went to a decent playoff team that was devoid of a top WR, like KC or Baltimore or NYG that would have been a great story. But this feels like we were cheated out of the one of the big storylines of the offseason. Well at least Rodgers to NYJ delivered

I'm pissed.. Really wanted him to go to a divisional rival or one of the top teams to reduce our chances of winning the Super Bowl

Awful take.

I pity the fool that makes a joke with His name.

Giants and raiders don’t reach deals with their RBs. Teams around the NFL getting wise to something Howie has been wise about for a decade.

LOL

I didn't pay much attention to the "Eagles trading for Josh Jacobs" rumors or whatever it was a few days ago, but now it's almost a certainty Howie won't be. Any team would have to absorb the tag and can't extend/restructure it which would take up most of the cap space left that Howie likes to keep for in-season moves, extensions or trades for other players.

He's gonna go to Tennessee, he's gonna ball out, and then he's going to be an attractive trade target next year.

He wants the payday and he wants a contender.  But he wasn't going to get a payday from a contender.  So he's gonna get his deal from a bad team, go nuclear, and then hope he gets moved to a contender with his contract already in place.

Apparently it was the best he was going to get.  Personally I don't know why Buffalo didn't make the move and figure the cap out later.  But if they're not biting now because they're not convinced he's worth the money, he's gotta go to Tennessee and prove he's worth it there.  If he does, contract be damned next offseason he'll get plenty of attention then.

UFO's are real

I'd expect both Jacobs and Barkley to hold out for most, if not all, of Training Camp. They didn't sign the tag so the team can't fine them anything for not showing up. I doubt either team lifts the tag and loses either for nothing or anyone trades for them, so it's going to be a showdown now of if they will hold out for the regular season.

Look at this phony pretending for 54 years

CJGJ about to hold out from Madden.

Sorry, another Kelly Green post. What's weird to me is how quiet the Eagles have been about the whole thing. Look at these other teams with the buildup for release. Teasers, actually dates and such. This is just a snippet of the amount of anticipation other teams have built up through their socials. What do we get from the Eagles? Which lunch table would you sit at? I really think the Eagles media team is one of the worst in the NFL.

How does that work with the holdout?  I thought the deadline was today to sign to a new deal.  If they can't give him a new deal now until the offseason then what is the holdout for?  Skip the season? Wanting a trade?

Because the team can't fine them for not showing up to TC so why bother going?
