That’s awful. Feels like there’s a lawsuit coming

Did CGJ even want to be in Philly?  We were up against the cap, but it sounds like Howie made a competitive multi-year offer.

I don't think he really wanted to be here.  Just my opinion.

Has Hatchetwound weighed in yet on the sale of the team?

She lost her work computer during the pandemic and hasn't been seen, I'm afraid.

Why would she need a work computer? Wouldn't any computer work as long as the password is remembered?

Spoiler

She would post from the client site (New Orleans, Denver, Minnesota, etc) so the IP wouldn't show up as Philadelphia area

CGJ ostensibly was upset at the Eagles for the same general thing that Harden is upset with the Sixers for: "disrespect"

Some athletes have huge egos, are immature, and their egos get bruised when they don't get the money they think they deserve. Ironically, the Lions didn't value him much either, because they gave him crap money.

That said, I also think the Eagles could've afforded him. Well not think, they could have. They actually have decent cap space right now. I think CGJ wanted to leave when he felt disrespected and I think Howie didn't think he was as good as he performed and didn't want him.

I think Rashaad Penny is being super undervalued. More people are excited about Swift, but Penny is objectively the better player. He may not be as versatile, but he's a better runner, better vision, a monster when he's healthy. And Swift hasn't exactly been healthy a ton himself either, so it's not like he has a pass in that regard.

I don't know...there are two new coordinators and a ton of unknowns on defense with a lot of new faces. I am not thrilled at the idea of "building the airplane as they fly it".

Training camp does not equate to the entire time the team will be in meetings and practices between now and the start of the season. The last PS game is 8/24, the first game is 9/10.  Seventeen days, albeit with a few days off.

There's the rub. But yes on a per snap basis he's an incredibly effective RB. And an excellent compliment to Swift IMO. If they can keep each other healthy by sharing the snap load with each other and Gainwell they have the potential to lead the league in all sorts of rushing stats this year.

Well some reporters have said they don't have him making the team if healthy. Obviously injuries are a concern, but I think even that has gone overboard. It's not like the guy has been in the league for 5 years and has played 2 games. He's a tackle breaking machine, which is a polar opposite of what Sanders was. I think in this offense Penny could rip off some huge momentum changing runs.

If Kempski wants to move his content to a platform where no one will see it because Twitter changed its logo to an X, so be it, that’s his problem. The platform isn’t changing just the logo and everyone is throwing a hissy fit.

This isn't about the name change.  It's about the other things that have made it an unstable platform.

Disrespectful

Has he stated specifically why he's putting his stuff on threads? If not, I don't know how you can state one way or the other.

That said, threads has its own problems. As does every social media app.

The reality is some people have an agenda against Elon for his beliefs and are magnifying their disgust because of it when every social media or tech platform does the same thing in their own way.

YouTube started pumping their videos with ads to make it virtually unusable without ad blocking, and then said "You want to get rid of the ads? Pay us $12/month!" And not only does no one outrage, but millions pay it.

And then YouTube has now decided to use technology that prevents ad blocking on browsers from working, and then increased their price to $14/month to avoid ads. Slimy and devious. No outrage.

Netflix got rid of password sharing. No "I'M NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS PLATFORM AGAIN!11!" Subscriber number went up.

Meta has done a lot of the things Twitter has done. No outrage.

Twitter has a day or two where the platform doesn't work properly: "OmG, I'm TiReD Of ThIs PlAcE11!111" Twitter changes a stupid logo... same thing.

Manufactured outrage because people don't like Elon's politics.

They’re all shady. In the grand scheme of things, Zuck is no different than Musk so to make it look like a morally superior claim to go to Threads over Twitter is kind of funny.

Hard one today. Couldn't think of anyone besides Haynesworth. Whiffed on Champ Bailey being AP1. Second mistake was Beau Allen for Bucs/Patriots.

I don't think it's about his politics. You Tube has had ads for years.  People are going on to watch videos.  It's like Spotifiy where some people pay to not have ads.   He got rid of a verification system that was attractive for journalists.  Now anyone can be verified for a price.  He devalued a main attraction for people seeking news and information from verifiable sources on the site.  The platform has had issues with data which seem to stem for an inability to pay bills.  It's not just that the platform didn't work properly.  It's that it didn't work and they implemented changes that were not announced as temporary and it was easily attributable to a revenue issue.  The company is getting sued due to layoffs and the failure to honor severance agreements.  While lawsuits are sometimes inevitiable, the scope of the suits against the company seems unusual.  Then there are issues like the  projected revenue being down for advertisement and interactions by users have dropped.

Maybe Musk will be able to right the ship but it's not heading in a good direction currently.

Wonder if Trent Williams counts even if he wasn't named 1st team all pro until after the Redskins.

Romo and Nantz for week 1 vs the Patriots.
