My final Kelly Green prediction. Sticking with full uniform overhaul and the players wear their new helmets for the first practice and that's how we find out.

They will wait until the public practice at the Linc and reveal its not really Kelly Green but that bright autism green that they use.

So, what was the point?

I guess he wanted to throw away his leverage next year for an extra $500k? Sounds like if he got tagged next year he wouldn’t get the 120% tag.

2 year, 12 mil per year average (say 10 and 14) with at LEAST 7 million in guaranteed and no tag clause would have made sense.  For both sides

This was pointless.  Now he gets to show up to training camp, risk injury or be fined

Exactly.

Also, PSA, if your dog swallows something, you can get them to vomit.  There's actually a dog poison control hotline that you can call and they will walk you through it.  (It's not free, they charge something like $50 for the service...)

Warm salt water with a baster...that doesn't work peroxide does the trick.  NGL, there's 2 things that would put me in the same mode.  Something happening to my wife (been there when she got in a fender bender one day and called me like it was the end of the world) or my dog.

So.... no kids I take it.

As a casual Twitter user, I don't see any issue with Twitter as it is. Can you explain why it's going down the toilet? The biggest difference I see now is that my timeline is full of people saying they don't like Twitter now.

My personal opinion is that it's a bunch of butthurt people who don't like Elon Musk, probably because he doesn't bow down or follow any political ideology.

Twitter is fine. I see the tweets I want to see and quite frankly, other accounts I've found to be interesting have been suggested to me.

It was already mentioned but I'll go into more detail. Verification used to have a barrier of entry, thus giving more credence to those who were verified. This matters when trying to sort out "fake" accounts from real ones, especially at a moment's notice when breaking news during camp is flying at 100mph. If you weren't the type to keep up with news events on Twitter during this time of year as they broke in real-time, then you likely relied on others to separate the wheat from the chaff as they aggregated the reports.

TL/DR: Musk broke one of the most fundamental purposes of Twitter as it relates to journalism.

My prediction is definitely by opening day.

Definitely for the Thursday game against the Vikings

No, it’s going to be Monday night against the Bucs

Wait, what could be better than the NFC East opener against the Pigskins

ok, we are definitely seeing them against the Rams with a big late day audience in LA

Alright so it’s going to be a clash of the greens against the Jets

Sunday night against the Phins?

why the 2nd skins game, who knows?

ok - definitely after the bye - what could be better than playing with new unis in a Super Bowl re-match

FFS - the playoffs?

ok - definitely by the draft

Just the fur child...one of those comes it trumps all.

I'd be fine with a Reddick extension, but not a restructure. He signed a 3 year deal as a UFA, so he had control of his situation. It's not the same as someone on a rookie contract/franchise tag.

I reran the Bears game from last season, concentrating on Nick Morrow and came away quite impressed. He can run and he diagnosed plays quickly. He was by far the Bears best defensive player and I suspect that his performance in that game played a large part in our signing him. He's a little undersized, as is Nakobe, and there will be times when that lack of size will hurt us but those two have a lot of speed and we have big DTs to protect them. Our LBs were dreadful in the SB, so no loss there. Definitely more speed this year.

If Kyron Johnson can learn coverage and improve his football IQ and Taylor finally has the light go on, the speed at ILB on this team is scary.  Two really big "Ifs”.  The most interesting thing is the Eagles greenest ILBs were both coached in college by Eliot.  I don’t think it is entirely a coincidence that he was the ILB coach hire this offseason.  In fact, I suspect part of the interview was "how would you utilize Taylor and K Johnson.”  Doesn’t mean a thing if the player has no instincts but both had time with Edwards and Dean, LBs whose best traits are link to football IQ.  TC means the difference in making the roster and PS for both.  Some of that has already occurred in the ILB room during Phase II and III.

I do wonder how teams are utilizing virtual reality in film rooms.  With AI and a mix of VR, MR and AR, sure seems like a great way to teach football IQ.  Could take film study to a whole new level.  Imagine a player like Asante Samuel SR, who augmented mediocre physical attributes (short and a bit slow) with amazing level of film work to be able to anticipate the opposition.  Now couple that with AI teaching AI how to spot traits and the. AI with MR and AR showing the player those traits, how much teaching football IQ could change for that level of player willing to utilize it.  Of course, part of the training would be to help players and coaches learn to hide their own traits.

I saw something somewhere about when all teams’ new alternates go on sale, and it had the Eagles on Aug. 1.

The Eagles went from a pass-first 2-5, to a run-first playoff berth. In Sirianni's 2nd year the run-first scheme led them to the Super Bowl. I don't see RB going away. It is too vital. It is unfortunate that the best Rb's are being singled out with their paychecks. The CBA rookie scaling prevents them from earning big bucks in their most productive years. The average RB is still making decent money.

I was being a tad fecitious...

It's an interesting thought, but how do you work a person running, hitting, tackling, etc. into VR?  Sounds a bit like "Ready Player One"

Samuel might not of had the fastest straight line speed, but his closing speed was elite.

Loved watching him play.

Having said that kyrin Johnson to off ball LB is a bit of a stretch for me.

Dude was an edge rusher in college thought to be too small to be an edge In the pros until he was destroying OL at the senior bowl.

Thought his best shot would be in the Hassan reddick role as a 5th rusher blazing off the edge, I can't imagine he has the instincts for ILB.

Guess we'll find out.

Seems Ellis is the favorite there to back up or sneak in as a starter.

There were also reports that Nolan Smith was taking reps at off ball LB.

If Kyron Johnson has been moved to off ball LB then I'm assuming that the coaches think he sucks at edge?

Because apparently Nike one of the biggest apparel companies in the world can't color match...

Seriously whose running the show over there?

There are probably about 50 local philly manufacturers  that could make a Kelly green jersey identical to the 90s version, in fact I think I've seen a few " fakes" on line yet Nike just can't figure it out...😒

Looking at it from an X (Twitter) point of view, if a business or person is using Twitter to maximize their commercial visibility (applies to politicians too), then why shouldn’t Twitter, a poorly organized advertising platform, not try to monetize verification for such users?  The fact that reporters and others weren’t willing to pay a paltry amount for such verifiable visibility seems absurd to me.   $96 a year.  In return, the reporter gets to hype himself, frequently with links to paywall articles. Basically, $96 a year for unlimited opportunities to "advertise”.

If you have watched coaches film, it’s basically the all 22 angle or higher up on LOS.  That has been around since the dawn of the sports.  With VR and AR, they bring the view down to what the player would see on the field.  Never has been running, hitting, tackling in the film room so why the need with VR.  I think of it as enhanced film work.

Good point.   And that $96/year would be tax deductible, as well as a business expense.

Unless there is something not reported yet, this is an all-time player bungle. He needs a new agent.

Eventually, they will move this into a VR simulation on the field where the player should be able to move around the field and the video input to their headset change with it.  AND, unlike most VR set ups where the person is wearing a very unnatural facemask to provide them with their field of vision, the display screen can merely by projected on the visor of the helmet giving it a very realistic feel.  There wouldn't be 'tackling' per se, but it would work great for pass coverage to make sure players are dropping to the correct depths, jumping, lunging, diving to bat down passes (even if they aren't really making contact with anything, they could have a sensor in the palm of the glove that would vibrate if they actually 'made contact' with the ball).

The applications of this will be great, and in situations like this, a player on defense (at last the back 7) could hold a practice completely by themselves to work on footwork, technique, assignment discipline, etc.  All it would take is a team tech to upload a 'practice program' to their helmet visor screen, and they'd be off and running.

You're missing the point. The fee being so cheap is exactly the reason why verification lost all meaning. If everyone can be verified then nobody is, and the "fake" tweets suddenly become indistinguishable from the real ones. It wasn't just an issue of poorly timed monetization (which could've been offered with or without verification), it was the fact that verification itself was no longer a barrier to entry.

That's why we saw companies like Eli Lilly pull all ads from the platform when one fake tweet cost them $15B in market cap overnight. You can crap on reporters all you want and explain it away as a dying industry of spoiled brats with crumbling credibility, a false sense of entitlement, thin-skinned millennials sipping Starbucks or whatever cliche trope you can think of, but what you can't explain away are the multi-national corporations choosing to market their products on other platforms at alarming rates. You can't explain away Twitter's ad revenue being a fraction of what it was on the journalists. Maybe, just maybe, the changes made to the platform in the last year or so were extremely ill-advised and the chickens from those poor, myopic decisions are finally coming home to roost.

Us dorks can, easily.  But for a "normal" fan, I think that might be a bit high. Every starter plus 8 reserves could be tough.
