Having closed practice for any of TC sucks. I hate hearing my friends talk about their plans to go to Steelers camp so much.

Really miss going to Lehigh for TC - even if it was in blistering heat. I remember being there when Hank Baskett emerged from the depths and made wow plays on almost every series.

Random thought: would you be opposed to the RB franchise tag cost being adjusted to account for their contribution in the passing game relative to WRs? If they're going to rely more heavily on RBs as receivers, give those guys a hybrid designation somewhere between the RB and WR cost. The higher cost means those guys are less likely to get tagged, and more likely to get multi year deals in their short career window.

You could do the same for TE tags being weighed to include snaps at the WR position, LB to include snaps as an edge rusher etc to make it fair. Relatively minor change but doesn't seem totally unreasonable imo. Probably more of a logistical nightmare than I think though.

That doesn't make sense, because its about the 'RB' position, not 'WR'.  Maybe the plan should be to eliminate the moniker of WR and RB... and just say something else, maybe "flex" or something.  Then, they could get the same franchise tag number as WRs... but I don't see that happening, as it throws a whole giant wrench into the works in other ways.

I know the horse has been beaten to death but I can't help but be vocal about it when TC actually gets here and we get nothing. We went from Lehigh to hopefully we get 20 tweets/xeets? trying to live through a beat writers description of what they saw. Ugh.

Obviously it's only been one practice and it's hard to even consider it a practice as it was in shorts, but I think it is a real good sign that the defense outplayed the offense yesterday.

The vast majority of the questions surrounding this team are on the defensive side of the ball, mainly at LB and safety. So for the defense to play well against the offense, which we know is going to be really good, is a sign that there are positive answers to those questions already on the roster.

And half the time they completely contradict each other with what they saw unless it's something basic. I listened to a few post practice pods and the takes on Punters ranger from "Zetner closed the gap and had a stronger showing than Siposs" to "Siposs is way ahead, it's not even a real competition."

Which could all be solved by just bringing in the Punt God.

A lot can change, but with the roster composition right now, I just don't see Jurgens winning the RG job unless Steen stinks. At backup tackle, you have Driscoll and Kelly. At backup guard, you have Driscoll and the loser of Steen/Jurgens. Center, you have no one.

It's gonna be like 100 tomorrow, I'd guess they either practice in the bubble or move practices to like 8 am before the real heat kicks in.

He played HOT TRASH in the second half of the season which created some hollow numbers. Think he had the Titans twice, Probably Texans twice. Got to the playoffs and played real teams and had 4 or 5INT's.

I think if anyone "sneaks" into the SB  it'll have to be an NFC team since the big 3 are in the AFC. (chiefs, Cinnci, Bills, ) So if I had to bet someone it would be the Vikings.

They get the NFC south(trash) they get the bears and Packers( I think Jordan love is trash) and I think the Lions are overrated.

In the second half they beat the ravens (playoff team) with lamar Jackson and the cowboys who were a 12 win team and a  top 3 team (Vikings were complete frauds) in the nfc with one of the better defenses in the league (just saying the eagles, cowboys and niners schedule the last 9 games of the regular season wasn’t that tough either when you look at them.  niners and eagles were obviously better than the jags but it wasn’t some gauntlet they faced). They still play the titans, Texans and colts this year. Their division sucks just like the Vikings. And the Vikings went 13-4 last year and then cousins lost a home playoff game to Daniel jones and the giants. if the lions are overrated, Minnesota is definitely a fraud. Proved that last year when everyone said they were then lost to the giants in the wild card

Got to the playoffs in his first ever playoff game had 4 ints in a half then came back from 27 points down and threw for 4 consecutive tds. Also he was an Agnew fumble inside the red zone at the 3 yard line from the chiefs in KC being in serious trouble with 5:30 left in that game.

I'm guessing they keep Toth around who can play C or G. If there is a long term injury at C, Jurgens either moves their from RG or comes from off the bench. Toth backs up whatever Jurgens role was.

When the hype was it its highest that summer, I heard two random dudes at a Phillies game saying that acquisition of Baskett was the greatest trade in the history of sports. I laughed inside.

The problem with that is that Toth isn’t any good.

Cowboys safety Donovan Wilson out 4-6 weeks

Trade them Reed Blankenship while his value is the highest?

Not sure if there's a more punchable HC/QB combo in the league.

That town is going to need all the legal weed they can get.

We're not exactly rich at safety - and why help the Cowboys. Also, their 3rd safety is arguably better than any on our roster.

Idk if he’s a scheme fit but John Johnson is still out there for cowboys if they wanted to go that route

Kind of getting old now. They prefaced by saying they'd give us a week of crap so I guess they are staying true to their word.

The troll job by them is actually applaud worthy. They said they were gonna do it and did. Plus at least it’s been creative

Thats family territory…you trolling for milfs or something?

My cousin is expecting soon and I haven’t seen her in a while, so we met up at the family house. Her husband is a friend of mine as well, so we do the family stuff in the morning and then get hammered in the afternoon/night.

OCMD is actually a really weird demographic split. It’s like 1/3 families, 1/3 gang members, 1/3 20 somethings partying at bars.

I don’t understand this at all. Why don’t you see Jurgens winning the job? Assuming however that Steen does win it, why isn’t Jurgens the backup center, as he was last year? And what about Toth, who’s working at center? That makes two backups.

You are dangerously close to me sir.  Currently I'm at work in the Montford area.  I kid you not, but my "wife" and I are going out to dinner at a restaurant in Cornelius on Saturday night called "Hello, Sailor," right on the water.  🤣  So if you happen to be there, and you see a great looking guy with no pants and his dong tip floating on the surface of Lake Norman, just know I'm catfishing!  😻

Yes and no. My annoyance to the issue is combined with TC sucking so hard for the fans. The Eagles USED to be one of the best teams in the NFL with fan engagement and such. There was a true feeling of relating with the team.

Now we're just consumers of the brand.

Its all about the fan experience!

No argument from me there, but the coaches love him for whatever reason, so that's my guess the direction they go. Maybe Trevor Reid can show something during camp and take that spot from him.
