EMB Blog: 2023 Camps and Preseason - NO POLITICS

Yes and no. My annoyance to the issue is combined with TC sucking so hard for the fans. The Eagles USED to be one of the best teams in the NFL with fan engagement and such. There was a true feeling of relating with the team.

Now we're just consumers of the brand.

Oh i used to love watching training camp live with Dave. And getting all the coverage. But now I really don’t care what they do as long as they get to the regular season healthy and ready. And getting enough of a valuation on the players on the back end of the roster. just get me to the start of the regular season healthy and ready to go. That’s really all that matters.

Frankly, I’m much more interested to see what the Phillies do at the trade deadline and what the Phillies do in August to set themselves up for a potential playoff run then the Eagles training camp and preseason. It’s not that i have no interest. I’m still gonna be here talking and reading but it’s not nearly as important as when i was younger. I get not everyone is a baseball fan but to me i want the eagles to make the right decision on back end of the roster players, make evaluations at S and RG and get to week 1 healthy ready to go. Everything else is fluff.

The impact of Stoutland on draft resource allocation...

Top 9 DL: 1st round - Graham, Cox, Barnett, Davis, Carter, Smith; 3rd round - Williams; 4th round - Sweat  (Although a first-rounder, Reddick was a FA)

Top 8 OL: 1st round - Johnson; 2nd round - Dickerson, Jurgens; 3rd round - Steen; 4th round - Driscoll; 6th round - Kelce; 7th round - Mailata  (Kelly was a fifth round pick)

You are dangerously close to me sir.  Currently I'm at work in the Montford area.  I kid you not, but my wife and I are going out to dinner at a restaurant in Cornelius on Saturday night called "Hello, Sailor," right on the water.  🤣  So if you happen to be there, and you see a great looking guy with no pants and his dong tip floating on the surface of Lake Norman, just know I'm catfishing!  😻

I live about two miles from Hello, Sailor.

Cool spot. Great lake views.

But Saturday I'll probably be poolside with the cougars from my condo practicing my breaststroke.

The troll job by them is actually applaud worthy. They said they were gonna do it and did. Plus at least it’s been creative

Yeah at first it was frustrating, but now I'm kinda enjoying the humor of it all, especially when I step back and think about myself sitting on the internet and getting frustrated because the color of an alternative jersey of a football team hasn't been revealed yet.

They will give us what they want to give us, when they want to give it to us, and we have to like it.  Which is my issue with the social media team now trolling the fans about the kelly green.  Makes the sting of disappointment that the actual color will be all the more smart.

TCs at Lehigh...1-4 in NFCCG, 0-1 in SB

TCs in Philly...2-0 in NFCCG, 1-1 in SB

He’s not here anymore but they did use a 1st rounder on dillard.

Definitely not wasting any energy getting frustrated about it. Just annoyed. They have added humor. Again, I'm looking at is as a combination of fan disconnect.

Kelce was a Mudd pick

I guess the third on Seumalo could count as well.

In any event...the imbalance still holds.

I wasn't attributing picks specifically.  Just his ability to turn "lesser" ingredients into an elite OL.

The last draft that reid was here for is a really vital one in the history of the eagles. Got hall of famer in Cox. Nick foles who was the only Qb in franchise history to win a SB (who knows if comes to Philly as a FA without being drafted here originally) and Kendricks. Vinny curry and Dennis Kelly all had solid careers in the nfl.

I think it's funny too but they better look good. Because if they went all this time and then trolled the fanbase for a solid week just to put out a garbage uniform... yikes.

I think Kelce had two years with Mudd though. He was already pretty dang good by the time Chip was hired and brought Stout here. I agree with your overall point though, having a guy like Stout is a huge luxury other GMs wish they had.

I’d laugh if they did all this and they busted out those yellow and blue jerseys instead lol

I'm not expecting to be blown away. Nike was always garbage when it came to getting the colors right.

Idk was a time the fan base was really down on kelce. Was closer toward the start of the doug era. Frankly a lot of people believed the reason seumalo was drafted was to replace kelce.

Maybe I'm underrating them and they'll be better than I expect, but all this "Jets Super Bowl!" talk for me is just typical NY overhype. It's not like the Jets went to the AFCCG last season and now Rodgers puts them over the top. They were a below average team. Of course they'll be better with Rodgers than the slop they had, but they are no lock to even make the playoffs in a tough division/conference.

Getting undue respect. They haven't earned it yet. People are way jumping the gun on this IMO.

The fan base can be dumb sometimes. Kelce was never in any real danger of losing his job.

Not eagles related besides he used to play here but was told the cardinals would look to deal ertz at the deadline if they are out of (feels like a lock). 3 teams mentioned chargers, jets and lions depending on how Laporta looks first half of the year. I’m doubting it’s a lot due his injury and at the moment he’s on PUP.

mmmm....breast stroking

Jets are going the super dream team route which is going to end in complete failure, and on top of that they will end up limiting the development of actual good young players like Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall so their future will suck too.

That’s a big blow to their defense if he’s done for the year.
