Sure did. Saw Hooker there. Bonnie Raitt too, IIRC. Ate a lot of wings at the Anchor Bar, where they invented the Buffalo wings. There was a weird little bar whose name I can't recall, run by an old WWII fighter pilot. You had to listen to him for twenty minutes before you could get a drink but it was worth it. He had a voice like Tom Waits.

I think the bigger concern would be the PTSD that those who lived through the Pete Lisk/Roman Gabriel years would suffer if they were brought back.  Throw back uniforms only work if they are throwing back to a time that would be remembered fondly.

 

Personally, i was fan of the white helmets with green wings, because when I was a kid, there was an old cup my dad had of all the teams' helmets from across the NFL.  The Eagles one was the white with green wing, and so that is the only association I have with it personally.  But, others who lived through those years wouldn't be looking back with much affection.

 

(They are still WAY better than the full black uniforms though!)

Yup.   Moving games from 1 PM to 8:30 PM on the same day is bad enough for fans that have made special travel plans to attend the games... but moving a game a full 3 days earlier is just a giant middle finger to the fans that attend games.   Once again, the NFL proves that they are going to squeeze the golden goose harder and harder to get more eggs... eventually, the goose will suffer damage from all this.  

 

The issue is that the TNF games are generally garbage.  Rather than fixing the real issue, which is the lack of rest and preparation time for these games by adding a bye week before these matchups and allowing teams to actually be prepared and rested to allow for a much better product, they will force some teams to compete on a short week MULTIPLE times during the course of the season.  The NFL has no interest in doing what is right by the players or the fans... it is 100% about the bottom line.

That was the original iteration but they changed it to 4th and 20 from the 20 to closer match the conversion percentage and risk. They also attached new stuff on it like the team must be trailing and they can only attempt it twice per game, but it's still not going anywhere.
