It was a joke.

The joke was that no one would be watching women's soccer unless the tv was broken.  It is not a particularly new joke.

It went over my head.

I’m not sure if I should be embarrassed or not for recognizing those names.

Looking at the list, he's clearly clueless and suffers tremendously from recency bias.

Lofton and Reed should also be on that list very high.

Paul Warfield and Bobby Mitchell

I always loved Brian Cushing. Wanted him on the Eagles. Give me a crazy LB please. He never lived up to his hype but man I want a dog like that in the front 7.

Ted "the Mad Stork” Hendricks is the gold standard of crazy LBs.

Yes, I knew that. Excellent series.

Technically 2.5 games behind the dodgers and the dodgers play tonight so could be 2 or 3 by the end of the night (probably 3 as they face Oakland). Dodgers team isn’t as good as year’s past and a bunch of injuries to their rotation this year. Actually want he first wild card so if you win face (likely as they have the 2nd easiest schedule of the NL teams) the dodgers. They are very beatable. The Braves are just ridiculous. But they were good last year then strider got hurt and albies also got hurt. But i actually think the Phillies tend to play up to opponents like the rays and orioles. Even dbacks and dodgers the second time they faced them. Might not win but usually they play better so feel like some issues is focus at times

The Phillies need to take care of business against the bad teams in august. They have 13 games vs. nats, KC and the cardinals. Three of the worst teams in baseball. They could pretty much run away with the WC if you just go .500 in those other games and handle business unlike they did against pirates and nats in July.

Add in....they play 19 games at home, 7 on the road in August against said teams.....they absolutely should uncork another June and go anywhere from 22-5 to at worst 17-10. (Already 1-0 in August).  And once they get done in Miami, actually only have 5 games on the road the rest of the month, 2 at Toronto and 3 at Washington.

Anyone watched the QB documentary on Netflix? It’s really struck me watching that just how lucky we are to have Hurts. My god if I were a vikings fan I’d be changing teams. Coupons is such a little ****. I didn’t like or rate him before but now my opinion is even lower of him.

Would be great if any of our late night TV hosts could bring this back

Who the eff is Elliot Kalb???

He’s a sports historian and researcher. I really enjoyed a couple of his books from 15 years ago or so: "Who’s Better, Who’s Best” in baseball and basketball. They’re both sitting on my bookshelf today.

Shouldn't the Skins Art Monk, Gary Clark, Ricky Sanders any combo from the 3 be on there?

Way too early to put Waddle/Hill, Smith/AJ and Chase/Higgins in there.

Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt,  Az-Zahir Hakim and Ricky Proehl. Not a duo, I admit.

I’m in disbelief that thrash and pinkston didn’t make it.

Haven't been seeing too many positive highlights from Cowboys camp

I thought when ESP moved on from BGN that BLG was his hand picked successor.  Now ESP moved quickly and BLG is stuck at BGN so maybe he has become jealous. Don’t read either but X (the artist FKA Twitter) does include their tweets in my Eagles News feed probably using their algorithms.

If my recollection is correct, i thought BLG left BGN for Philly Mag in 2016 and some time after he joined, they canned the sports desk or Birds 24/7. Hence why he went back to BGN and has been there ever since.

From The Athletic.  Good football gods, is Boston Scott our best back in Pass Pro?

10:35 a.m. — For one glorious moment, it looks like we’re about to get the first session of offensive line-defensive line one-on-ones this camp. Alas, it’s a combination blocking drill, so we pivot our eyes to the middle field, where running backs are working on pass-blocking in blitz pickup against linebackers. A blow-by-blow:

• Scott handles Nakobe Dean.

D’Andre Swift loses slowly to Shaun Bradley, which is probably good enough.

Kenneth Gainwell recovers well after an initial pushback by Nicholas Morrow.

 Davion Taylor smokes Rashaad Penny.

• Penny then bounces back with a nice rep against Ben VanSumeren.

Christian Elliss quickly swims past Kennedy Brooks.

• Another good rep from Scott, this time against Bradley.

• Dean runs through Swift.

• Another "lose slowly” for Gainwell against Morrow.

• Penny rides Taylor to the outside.

• Sermon handles VanSumeren.

• Elliss spins past Brooks with ease.

• Scott and Dean play to a draw, which is a win for Scott.

• Elliss, who probably needs a better matchup, again gets the better of Brooks.

Given their expected roles, it’ll be nice to see how Dean and Swift fare in this drill as camp goes on.

Maybe this was covered initially, but BLG was pretty ticked off that Barchard and Seltzer were hired by WIP and the station wanted ESP over him, breaking up their team. He definitely was ticked at Barchard and Seltzer, feeling like they stabbed him in the back. I doubt he or anyone else on the beat have much respect for ESP and his "takes.”

Disappointing trade deadline for Dombrowski.  Would have been nice to add a right handed bat with some power.  Gotta hope Castellanos and Turner get themselves right.

Not bad for that game.  Hopefully that gets him off the schneid.

Interesting.  It makes the levels of snark from BGN/BLG more understandable now.

And to be fair, if ESP got a job over me, I'd be pretty pissed too.  He's the sort of person you look at think, whose son/daughter are you or powerful friend do you know, because there is no way you'd get the job otherwise.

Someone made a vid of SB LII with the Eagles in kelly green jerseys and helmets.  Really good work by this guy.

You need to click to watch it on the link taking you to YouTube.

You are right.  He left BGN to replace McManus and then Birds 24/7 was cancelled a year later.

You are right.  https://www.crossingbroad.com/2019/08/radio-wars-brandon-lee-gowton-again-throws-shade-at-john-barchard.html  I think he was pissed at Barchard and not just WIP.

Oh yeah, what did he do?  I've been avoiding that show, I figured it'd be some sort of Chiefs hype documentary.

Add to this barchard left wip like a year later and said he was going in a new career path
