Lol I forgot about the commercials after everything little thing in games

wtf

Watching the preseason game and they hit us with a random Ronde Barber pick 6 in the NFC Championship Game replay.

Feels like this good gesture is eventually going to be rewarded

They just showed OC Alex Van Pelt. He's useless in IG. 9 years holding a clipboard and all for Buffalo.

Why can't you be more like Fitz!

What a McNabb play. Most pick 6s come from an extra player gambling and stepping into a throwing lane. (like Alford on Brady) or from pressure (Ty Law vs Warner)

That was Ronde's guy or area. McNabb just threw it to Ronde. There was no pressure. He was looking at Ronde. That was 1st and goal to make it a possible 20-17 with 3 to play.

Lets blame Andy!  🤣

Ask the average American if the whale or Taylor should get 20 million and the whale wins easy.

Also the whale has no salary cap.

Bears signed Ngakoue 1 year 10.5m. Was hoping the Eagles would grab him for crazy pass rush depth but they weren’t going in at that price and he has a chance to start in Chicago. Wouldn’t here.

Thompson-Robinson chants by Week 5 if Watson still looks rusty 🤣

Based on the various tweets and articles, I have made a first pass at a 53-man roster … and it is a real bear to undertake.  Expecting that I would be hard pressed for spots I started by including …

2 QBs and 3 RBs

6 WRs were next with Joseph Ngata being the sixth based on the very positive reviews he has gotten

Then came my first stretch with 4 TEs with Goedert, Stoll and Calcatera being 1-3 and either Arnold or Jackson as the fourth.

10 O-Linemen … the 5 starters plus Driscoll, Kelly, Reid, Steen, and Toth

25 in all for the Offense

on Defense …

I started with 4 DEs Sweat, Graham, Barnett, and Robinson

Then 5 DTs Cox, Davis, Carter, Williams, and Ojomo

Then 4 OLBs with both Johnson’s joining Reddick and Smith

Followed by 4 ILBs Dean, Morrow, Elliss, and (much to my surprise) Bradley

Then 6 CBS and 4 Safeties

That comes up to 27 on Defense

Add in the 3 Specialists and I’m over 53 by two players.  On Offense it came down to Ngata or Jackson/Arnold, and I cut Ngata.  On defense Jamarcus Robinson was the one to go.

There are some very noteworthy (in my opinion) players not on that list.  Both Book and McKee.  Boston Scott.  Sua Opeta. Kentavius Street and Marlon Tuipulotu.  Greedy Williams and Josiah Scott.  Howie May be able to trade some players and shuffle the deck a bit, but there is no doubt that the cut down will be very difficult.

I think there is a far greater chance that both Kelly and Toth don't make the 53 man roster than there is that BOTH will make it. I highly suspect that both are earmarked for the practice squad.

No team will go with just 2 QBs on the 53 with the new emergency QB rule.

We will likely have 3 TEs, 5 WRs, and 5 CBs.

I think B. Scott is a lock and we keep 4 RBs.

Toth is probably still just a PS candidate. I kind of see the Steen pick as a Driscoll replacement. This would be Driscoll's last year under contract. There always seems to be a market for guys that have (actually) played OL here. So it wouldn't surprise me if Driscoll ends up traded before the final cuts. Opeta might be tradeable too. Robinson hasn't done anything to prove he's worth more than a PS spot.

Finally, I hate to say it, but it would be rare for a team to begin the season without anybody on the PUP list or IR. So our overall health going into the season may make or break some of the final 53 decisions. There can also be a situation where we have to wait for the season to of begin before we can IR an injured player that could return. We have in the past released a player not subjected to waivers, waited until the IR move was made for the injured player and then brought back the released player. So that could be an option in a pinch if a player like B. Scott (for example) was willing to play along.

Another rule change I think about whenever the topic comes up is the ridiculous defensive holding penalty. Why the F is a 5 yard penalty an automatic first down? You get 5 yards, that should be it. There's no guarantee your receiver makes the first down if it's outside of 5 yards, if it's within 5 yards you get the first down anyway. I'm pretty surprised that teams are fine with that.

Matt has always been an irrational Toth fan

I remember that PC.  She was being a little unruly and he just gave her that look that all of us have received and all of us as parents gave many a time.  No snap or yelling, just some mild parenting.  At some point in his life, I suspect Nick will need to be cleaning his shotgun when boys come courting.  (I think the troll is trolling.)

Yup

now as the parent of a 14yo freshman, i am off to clean my rpg

Given the health history of the top 2 RB in Swift and Penny, I think 3 is just too light. From everything I've read (which we know is not much) Sermon has been getting plenty of reps with the 1s. I just think the team is really high on him.

One thing Scott has going for him over Sermon is KR. What would make things easier is if Covey could be KR/PR and contribute as WR5.

Not sure what pisses me off more. The fact that the Eagles trolled with the KG so much or how they advertise ONE public practice (that fans have to pay for).

I wouldn't hold my breath on the bolded part.

What did you bold? I've noticed bold isn't working for me lately when quoting. Not sure if it's on my end or an EMB issue.

Contributing as the WR5.  I just don't see that in his arsenal in the NFL.

Because they'd be mugged on 3rd and long every single time, not enough to be blatant in front of the refs, but just enough to try to get away with impeding the receiver. It would be real bad.
