Not sure what pisses me off more. The fact that the Eagles trolled with the KG so much or how they advertise ONE public practice (that fans have to pay for).

I honestly don’t have an issue with it because the money goes to charity.

I’ve noticed. Devon Allen too.

Contributing as the WR5.  I just don't see that in his arsenal in the NFL.

I think I suffer from shifty, white WR comparison syndrome.

I'm just being a grump. Hold open practice for free at Lehigh again and have open donations for a few weeks. They'd make a lot more for charity over that time than 1 practice.

The fact is, the Eagles act like this open practice is for the fans. It's not. It's a slap in the face IMO.

We all have those guys that we personally like or dislike more than consensus

i think Blankenship is a stiff, for example

Someone needs to make a sign for "Days without bpac55 complaining about training camp: 0”

Hey I admit it and usually claim my daily TC rant. I didn't start that post with one. My mistake. Daily TC rant over! We get a 2nd straight day of practice updates!

Man my memory is slipping the older I get. I completely forgot that Dak went to the SB, out played the best QB in the NFL in the SB, and came second in MVP votes all in his rookie year.

Yeah that Mandela effect hits pretty hard with cowboy fans.

Wesdan Welmendola disease

Kempski and BLG don’t really agree that Brown got first-team reps with the defense. While he was out there with Blankenship, it was mostly second teamers on the field at that point, FWIW.

It is a long season and fielding the best possible players in Week 19 or 20 is the most important goal. Players improve with reps and what a player looks like in Week One can be very different than what that same player looks like in Week 18.

You build depth by hiring/drafting well, fostering a learning environment, and developing skills. You do not build depth by looking at someone and saying that all he can do is X, Y, or Z.

Well, the baseball team is a wildcard team because one guy is playing poorly -- or else they'd be a wildcard team.

That one guy also just signed a 300 million dollar contract - the only one larger than that is Harper.  Surely you can understand why he's under more scrutiny.

I've now officially seen more PE.com promoted photos of Kyle in his cheerleader uniform than I have of Jalen Carter at practice.

That was peak Eagles training camp pod

Sydney Brown got reps with the first team

"no, actually he didn’t”

Deandre Swift scored a TD thanks to a huge hole from Mailata and Dickerson

”no, actually he didn’t. There was a small hole at best”

When I last went there (2018 or 2019) it was very fan un-friendly. Couldn't find a place to sit. Upper deck was closed. Then it was open. But you couldn't get up there without being resourceful. None of the staff knew what was going on. Just a complete disaster. I spent half of the practice roaming through the stadium. It was pointless being there.

What did you bold? I've noticed bold isn't working for me lately when quoting. Not sure if it's on my end or an EMB issue.

Bold hasn't worked in dark mode. I haven't used it for awhile so I guess it was never fixed. The alternative is to change the color of the text

This is surprising since this is their first back to back practice.

That one guy got that contract based on 6 full seasons being a career .295 hitter with 162-game average production of 23 HR, 79 RBI, and 110 runs scored.  2023 is an outlier.  All of the skills are still there.  There are a few possible reasons for his 2023 performance:

1.  Trying too hard to live up to the contract and everything is snowballing in the wrong direction (most likely)

2.  He's playing through some type of significant injury where he'd be better off going on the IL

3.  He got paid a lot of money and doesn't give a crap anymore (least likely)

No matter what the explanation is, I'll go with his 6-year track record over the first 2/3 of a season in Philly and assume his play will come around.  Scapegoating the player -- as the Philly media can't wait to do -- is almost never helpful.  MLB postseason is a microscope, and no matter where you try to hide a struggling hitter in the lineup, the pressure situations will always find them.  Teams will pitch around other guys to get him to the plate when it matters most.  If he gets booed every time he comes up to bat you can bet it will only get worse.

Jets, Patriots, Ravens, Steelers and Browns are the teams I keep an eye on during the PS. It just seems to me that those are teams the Eagles have made deals with during TC in the past.
