We really don't know about Dean, physically.  No Ras for him.    There were a lot of articles about him vs Lloyd before the 2022 draft.  Those articles all said that Dean was the freakbeast physically.  But no combine for him.  Lloyd had a 4.6 40 ballpark.  I would guess that Dean fully healthy, in college, was running 4.3 something or 4.4 something.

I like Dean and hope he's a stud but his production outweighed his athleticism.

If he was 6'4" and ran a 4.52 he'd have been gone before the Eagles could have drafted him.

FWIW, Zach Thomas was 5'11" and ran a 4.85 and he just had a very nice weekend.  Athleticism is not everything.

Let's just stop using high school data and pretend that it's newer data.  A player can Play something in high school, and not forget how to do it.  But he got faster in the 4 or so years of college.

Dean was a running back in high school part of the time.

Not impossible to do at all.  What it says is that Hurts' development is ahead of Young's at this time ... ideally with more progress to come.

Yes, it's important that Dean was a high school running back, at times,  with 9 rushing TDs.  You don't forget how to do that.  But you do get bigger and faster and everything else in college.  No reason at all to think that Dean didn't.

Every single person to this point fails to note that you're arguing about Dean's numbers in 2018 or whatever,  when he was in high school.
