Can you fathom the attention and adulation grab he's going to make/expect with his retirement?  It will make Brady look like someone who quietly slipped out the back door.  For the architect of "the decision" and "the chosen one" tattoo, he's going to do everything possible to go out big.

I can't imagine Lebron retiring after being swept and his last play was him driving to the basket and getting snuffed by Jamal Murray.

He's been saying he wants to play with his son so that would be at least 2 more seasons.

There is almost zero chance he retires or goes to another team.

At what point do you just eliminate kickoffs from the game?

Touchbacks, eliminating the wedge, moving to the 25 when the average return goes to the 25, now with "touchbacks" that aren't even in the end zone.  If data shows that kickoffs are so dangerous (I don't know if that is or isn't the case)...and the league has already rendered them irrelevant...then just put kickoffs out of their misery and have teams start at their 25 after a score.

They need to adopt the XFL's kickoff rule.  It's a clear as day answer to the problem and I have no idea why they don't look in to it.

I really like the way the XFL does kickoffs, instead of making rules to essentially take KR out of the game they made it so KRs are part of the game and safer, NFL could adopt  similar kickoff rules as the XFL if they weren't so stubborn.

It makes no sense why they don't.

I think Hurts is a top QB in the NFL for sure.  Not behind Dak but I don't know where he falls in the top 10.  He had an incredible season in 2022.  Now I want to see the same in 2023 and more for him to be a considered a top 3 QB.  I don't see a better QB in the NFC but it will be interesting to see if Fields takes a giant leap like Hurts did last year.  I think Fields is going to put the most pressure on Hurts in the NFC.  Dak is what he is and I think he'll only decline from here on out.

Hurts is the best in the NFC. I don't think what Hurts was able to accomplish should mean that Fields can too

In about 5 or 6 more years...

Not saying Fields will become Hurts but often you see a huge leap in growth with running QBs as the game slows down and they don't rely on their legs as much.  Add in better weapons and his elite running ability and I fully expect Fields to become a hot ticket this year.

I think there's a better chance Fields misses most of the season injured.  The Bears took the reins off him as a runner more than they developed him as a passer.  He's already started to get beaten up, and this year will be more of the same -- except teams will be playing the run when he takes the snap.

JJ likes being a bird apparently.  Put your $$ on him going to Arizona next to complete the bird sweep

He's gonna have to pay the ravens to sign him to complete the sweep

He’d be a perfect fit there given their track record with WRs

How bout we just flip him the bird for not being good when he was here.

Speaking of Solak, has anyone noticed he has the same haircut as a certain deceased German dictator?

Heinrich Himmler?

Technically yes, since they both had the same haircut.

In case any of you guys were worried about losing Goodell, he was extended through 2027

I always ask for the Heinrich Himmler when I go to the barber

All anyone needs to do to be profoundly grateful for Goodell is take a look at the commissioners of the other major pro sports in North America

Yes, Silver is 100x worse than Goodell. He literally meddled in the Sixers affairs. He's probably the #1 reason the Sixers have failed to win a title. If they would have kept Hinkie everything would have been different. The NBA was my favorite sport for most of my life. Once Silver did that, my love for the NBA was gone and has never been the same. It's like finding out a friend of yours stole from you, you could never look at them the same way again even if you wanted to try to. I just hate Silver, hate the NBA and everything it stands for, and in the very rare occasions I do watch NBA games these days(when I used to watch every NBA game on TV for 90% of my life) I feel really gross doing it.

Damning with faint praise, I see.

If you had to bet everything you had right now, which class is more productive for the Eagles in 2023: their 2023 rookie class or their 2022 rookie class.

The 2023 class is more highly regarded, but the 2022 class obviously has the benefit of being in their 2nd years.

I was looking at this article here:

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/ranking-nfl-teams-headed-for-rough-rides-in-2023-patriots-titans-and-bucs-could-struggle-this-year/

Talking about teams headed for a rough ride, and they mention the Titans.  Can't say I disagree with that.  I honestly had forgotten that the Titans had Malik WIllis and they drafted Will Levis this year in the 2nd round?  What's going on down there?

I wasn't high on Willis coming into the draft, but giving up on him after 1 season?  He was a 3rd round pick, did they mess up that badly?

Some new arrivals today…

2022 and it's not even close.  Howie likes to let guys get a chance to redshirt.  Nakobe Dean is gonna have a chance to play this year.  Jordan Davis is supposedly greatly improved.  Cam Jurgens will get the chance to win a starting spot, too.

The 2023 guys will have their day, but I think they'll probably be eased in slowly.

Uh oh. Let's hope he doesn't lose any targets over this.
