Yup. Losing BOTH Seumalo and Dillard is not a trivial matter. Fortunately there was some foresight there by drafting Jurgens last year, and then drafting Steen this year. But for sure, our depth is kinda shaky. Not saying it won't work out but the confidence level just cannot be that high.

In Stout we trust.

Jalen Hurts made a "special” cheesesteak and transformed twin sisters’ family business

I don't know how anyone couldn't love this guy at this point. I'll admit, even though I am an Oklahoma fan, I was skeptical when we took him. But man, he has removed any doubts I ever had. Not only an awesome QB, but an awesome human for my kids to look up to.

Will they keep 6 WRs?

Keeping both Covey & Oz seems like a waste of a spot.

Oz can actually contribute on offense.  If you move on from Covey then you need someone to return punts.

If he keeps building his NIL as he has been, the amount of money that should be coming to him from endorsements will be huge, and may make him more willing to help Howie surround him with the whole team talent needed to win everything multiple times.  Time will tell on that.

The backup situation will be weird this year.

If Mailata gets hurt, does Steen play LT?
If Kelce/Jurgens get hurt, does it mean it's Kelce-Steen or Jurgens-Steen instead of Andrews-Jurgens?
If Lane misses time, does Dennis Kelly get first up?

Not as clear-cut as last year.

Let's hope we don't have to find out what our evil genius OL coach has in mind.  Ideally, the starters play every game and we have some weird lineup for the last game when everything is clinched.

Shouldn't be hard to replace

IMO, we have 6 legitimate starting-caliber linemen.

We can easily survive one injury to any spot, as Steen can theoretically play all 4 OL spots.

Once we get 2 injuries to OL at the same time, that's when it gets dicey.

That's high praise for a guy that's yet to dress for any type of game action, and we haven't even been able to watch in workouts with the team.  You could be right.  Or, he could end up like Chance Warmack, who had a much higher pedigree coming out.  For me, there's just not enough data to make any definitive statements about Steen anywhere on the OL, or really even Jurgens are RG.  We can be hopeful, of course.

I like Oz and I like Covey but 2 smallish slot guys as backups seems like 1 too many

I agree. I want an outside receiver with some size who can step in if god forbid something takes AJ or Smitty away for a few games.

It's being counterfeited everywhere.  The original was Joe Burrow.

After that clip yesterday, you KNOW someone is going to do Dwayne Haskins.

Barstool Philly on Twitter: "Eagles release RG Jamon Brown. Pretty sure it had to do with him deciding to fix his gloves in the middle of a fucking play instead of protecting

Unfortunately like John Wooden taught putting on socks first, Stoutland was too focused on gloves at practice.

That's going to be Quez, not an undrafted rookie who would be bottom of the depth chart if he makes the team.

Mentally, he is the anti-McNabb

How Hurts handled himself at Alabama is everything you need to know about him as a person. Starter, benched for Tua, took it in stride, was there for his teammates, and was able to come in and ball out against Georgia as a backup when Tua got hurt.

His mentality is as alpha and tough as it gets.

I'd rather go heavy at CB than WR. This is where Covey offering nothing on offense hurts this team. He eats a roster spot up just to return punts.

I thought so.

Donald is getting by with his name now. IIRC Jones had a better season than Donald did

This will happen though since Donald could retire now and be in the hall. He's just collecting accolades now even if they are by name and not stats

So them being unwilling to pay him the highest, when he is okay being 2nd highest, is a non- story.

The problem with some NFL players is a combo of greed and stupidity.

The Rams gave that to Donald when he threatened to retire. It was a stupid contract. They should have called his bluff.

The other 31 teams do not have to accept Donald's number as the new floor for top guys.

The same thing happened with Cleveland and guarantied money. Lamar would still be holding out if he did not move off of that stupidity.

Jones should be more than happy with a bump to the 25-27 range, not the 32 range. If he is reasonable (being OK with 2nd as hinted) then they get a deal done.
