Talking about teams headed for a rough ride, and they mention the Titans.  Can't say I disagree with that.  I honestly had forgotten that the Titans had Malik WIllis and they drafted Will Levis this year in the 2nd round?  What's going on down there?

I wasn't high on Willis coming into the draft, but giving up on him after 1 season?  He was a 3rd round pick, did they mess up that badly?

Willis was a Jon Robinson pick, and he's no longer there.  I doubt Mike Vrabel ever wanted him and their willingness to let Josh Dobbs start at QB off the street in a must-win game for the playoffs says it all about Willis.

The Titans won't bottom-out.  Their division is pretty crappy and none of those teams (Jacksonville included) are that much better than them.  If Tannehill stays healthy he's a good game manager, and if they keep Henry they have a good run game.  Their defense is still pretty good.  I see them winning 8-9 games and just missing the playoffs.  The Colts and Texans are still much worse.

Uh oh. Let's hope he doesn't lose any targets over this.

He won't, and I guarantee Hurts feels the same way. Also, it's smart not to throw the defense under the bus. Offensive players should put the blame on themselves even if it isn't really their fault.

I always hated rookie cards where they photoshopped out the college logo on the helmet.

All anyone needs to do to be profoundly grateful for Goodell is take a look at the commissioners of the other major pro sports in North America

Meh, he's just the tallest Kyler Murray

2022 and it's not even close.  Howie likes to let guys get a chance to redshirt.  Nakobe Dean is gonna have a chance to play this year.  Jordan Davis is supposedly greatly improved.  Cam Jurgens will get the chance to win a starting spot, too.

The 2023 guys will have their day, but I think they'll probably be eased in slowly.

I feel the exact opposite. I would pick 2023 without hesitation. I think Carter, Smith, and Brown will play a lot, and I wouldn’t be shocked [not expecting it] if Steen starts at right guard at some point. By the same token, I’m still not 100% sold that Davis will be a big time pro [I think Carter will play more and be more impactful this coming season], and I have been somewhat concerned about Dean the whole while [looks slow to me]. And Jurgens could easily remain a backup. I do like Calcaterra however.

Naturally I hope they’re all great and I’m sure as hell not gonna root for one outcome over another just to be proven right in the long run.

If you had to bet everything you had right now, which class is more productive for the Eagles in 2023: their 2023 rookie class or their 2022 rookie class.

The 2023 class is more highly regarded, but the 2022 class obviously has the benefit of being in their 2nd years.

2022 and its not even that close imo.

2022 has rotational DT, potential starting RG, probable starting MLB

2023 has rotational DT, rotational DE/LB who will be option #5, maybe starting S and OL #7.

Not expecting much else from anyone else in both draft classes. 2022 has the most potential playing time so should be more productive. I guess if Steen beats out Jurgens it changes things.

New regime who didn't draft Willis, he doesn't get much rope.

The AFC South is interesting. Gotta think the Jags have the edge, but after that nothing would surprise me. The Titans are very competitive under Vrabel, but they seem to be in partial rebuilding mode. They're probably still the 2nd best team, the Colts and Texans have a long way to go. The Titans roster on defense at least is still strong.

Yes, Silver is 100x worse than Goodell. He literally meddled in the Sixers affairs. He's probably the #1 reason the Sixers have failed to win a title. If they would have kept Hinkie everything would have been different. The NBA was my favorite sport for most of my life. Once Silver did that, my love for the NBA was gone and has never been the same. It's like finding out a friend of yours stole from you, you could never look at them the same way again even if you wanted to try to. I just hate Silver, hate the NBA and everything it stands for, and in the very rare occasions I do watch NBA games these days(when I used to watch every NBA game on TV for 90% of my life) I feel really gross doing it.

Ironically, 2002 nba western conference finals game 6 caused me to quit the NBA for a LONG time (I never saw a more fixed game in my life) but the process brought me back.  Was pissed when we got colangelo'd but stuck with it.

Where I sit today however, I think I'm with you.  No Collar, then (maybe) no Simmons, (definitely) no trade up for Fultz, and I want to blame him for the Bridges trade even though he was already gone because interim GM Brett Brown.

I don't know if the Colts are much worse.  I think they are likely to be worse but they did improve their roster.  Their o-line should be healthier this season.  Minshew is a functional starter.  They added some talent at WR.  They are getting Leonard back on defense. I could see them eeking out wins against the Titans.

Sixers were 100% taking Simmons if Hinkie wasn't forced out.  But yeah they wouldn't have done the Fultz trade or any of the other really bad trades that went down after.

Cousins and Dak are not to be left out

In the write-up, DJones, Hurts, Tua, and Lawrence were all somewhat penalized because the list is an establishment type thing and they all have only 1 strong year (or less than that in Tua’s case). So it wasn’t that 6 QBs look better than Hurts, it’s that they may be more reliable to replicate past success until Hurts proves otherwise

Funny to see the white Dak Prescott entrenched a spot ahead of the black Kirk Cousins. Cowboys fans won’t object to that at all

Yes.  But they probably don’t get #1 overall if Hinkie isn’t forced out

Picks reversed the Eagles would not have taken him. He's a 0 to 2 technique. Davis, young player, already covers that on the Dline. Carter can go from 0 to 5 technique quite effectively. He fills many roles that Smith cannot. It is an idiotic take (the premise of Smith being better, not your post).
