Who says Covey can't contribute on offense?

He led Utah in catches 3 of his years there.

He can run.  He can play QB.

Those are both positions on the O. What's his D assignment?

True, if for a backup. But for a guy who's going to step in and start? I had originally put fourth but decided that wasn't quite enough so I opted for conditional third - a fourth with conditions that could improve it to third.

I can’t imagine any NFL team wanting Driscoll to start for them…baring injury to their starters.

And considering that our OTs aren’t exactly iron men, I think he’s got as much value to us as anyone else.

The same was said about Wiz and he went on to start for the Chiefs.

New series on ESPN +  Not a very high opinion of our RBs.  Thoughts?

I'd rather go heavy at CB than WR. This is where Covey offering nothing on offense hurts this team. He eats a roster spot up just to return punts.

Covey had 180 catches in college,  leading Utah 3 of his years there.

He had a good number of carries in college,  more than most WRs have.

2 TD passes in college.

Interesting to look at their take on WRs.  I don't have Seattle that high

And to think they have our Tight Ends that low is strange.

They got Offensive Line right.

Shouldn't be hard to replace

#8 punt returner.

Not easy to replace.

Sure,  you could replace someone better with someone worse fairly easily, but that's generally not something you want to do.

He was even better than #8  in the last few games of the season, and had a nice punt return in the Super Bowl.    Didn't lose a punt return.   Did fumble,  but didn't lose any.

If the Eagles want to put Nolan Smith there, or anywhere else really,  I'd support that,  because things like 1.47 40 at 238 pounds and 1 punt return in college for 29 yards.

I'm not sure I'd have ranked us this high at CB ... just because of the age factor.

Since the 2020 debacle, they've been ultra conservative. I don't even think they risk primary backups. We're gonna see a loooot of Johnny King and the like.

The Eagles have a lot of players who I'd like to see do the stuff they did in college and/or high school.

QBs - Tyree Jackson, Greg Ward, Britain Covey, Ben VanSumeren,

RBs - Nolan Smith,  Nakobe Dean, Kelee Ringo.

TE/FB - Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis

Fun

To some degree, teams don't even want preseason games.

saw the eagles depth chart didn't seem vansumeran did he get cut?

he's on there

Sills lined up at guard this week. He was a tackle last year, right?

Pretty sure he was IOL and made it over Jack Anderson.

He may have lined up all over during practice but the preseason snap counts say G. Our reserve tackles last year were Dillard, Driscoll, Clark, Awosika, Williams

We really only have Goedert and then a drop off

Lockett will also be 31 next month

If Tua can stay health then Dolphins have that incredible speed to use

I think Hurts should be 3rd with Smith and Brown. If Dolphins lose Tua then they likely lose their ability to use those weapons until they get a new QB

Lol. We all see through this one, Bill.

Sorry if it’s already been talked about and I’m missed it but I just finished the first episode of Hard Knocks, and man was that the most boring episode of Hard Knocks ever. It had nothing interesting, no juice, no energy, and didn’t even flow well. What a disappointment

20 sounds right. Lacks top-end talent, but too much depth to be a bottom 10 unit.

We can easily be better than the Jets, Jags, Pitt, Texans, Bengals, etc.

Driscoll has talent and is apparently a great guy and hard worker.  I really liked the pick.  But he’s extremely fragile and hasn’t always played well when called upon.

I wouldn’t put it past him to catch on and make it as a starter for another team in this league.  But that’s a different question than a team trading value for him to start for them right now.

Not to the level of Oz.

he's busy on special teams.   Nickel corner though.  He didn't play nickel corner in hs,  he was too busy being a state champion undefeated QB for 2 years in hs.

lol.

Jags have a stud to begin with in Entienne

Pitt also has a stud in Harris

Texans have a rising star in Pierce / Singletary who is basically on par with what we have now

Bengals have a stud in Mixon and more than capable backup with Perine

Maybe the Jets you have a case depending on Hall's status....but you're reaching hard here

Najee Harris is bad. Joe Mixon is washed (lost snaps to Perine last year). Neither is better than Gainwell.

I hesitated with Pittsburgh because of Jaylen Warren.

Singletary wouldn't crack our roster, but Pierce is better than all of our backs so it doesn't if you prefer quality/quantity.
