This is a fun game...

Rojas will always remember his first homer of his MLB career…. Regardless if it came against a positional players.

Counts the same in the record books.  ;)

So... there are rules about when a team can use a positional player to pitch?  Just ridiculous.  If a team wants to use a positional player to pitch, that's their prerogative.  What about Ohtani?  Is he a positional player or a pitcher?  If he can be listed as both, I can list ALL my players as both pitchers and positional players.

MLB has jumped the shark with some of these rules.  Ridiculous.

Easy with the Phillies updates. No one cares about them until October bc we are all fair weather fans per a certain board member here.

Not a very high opinion of our former RB either.

The best offenses in the NFL are all at the end of that list.  The only thing worse than a bad rb is a great one.  That means either hold outs or bad cap liabilities.

Bottom 20 is where an elite team belongs on that list.

It's a position group ranking. There's nobody behind Sanders there.

With starters likely not playing tomorrow I wonder if any of the RBs will be sitting out and how interesting it will be as to which RB that is.  Although I can't imagine they would bother playing Penny at all in the preseason given his glass status.

Qb1 CHICKEN NUGGETS dropping dimes.  Exciting

Is that Kyler Murray wearing a sports bra?

in 2020, Jalen Hurts completed only 50% of his passes thrown 1-10 yards downfield

worst in the NFL

(no other qualifying QB was sub-64%)

in 2021, he completed 63%

that ranked #31 (of 33 QBs)

(ahead of only Justin Fields & Zach Wilson)

in 2022, he completed 73%

that ranked #5 (of 33 QBs)

he raised his completion rate 10% despite throwing deeper on average

his overall last year CPOE was also tied for #5 best in the NFL

in 2023, he's got an even loftier (though unattainable) goal:

a completion every attempt

and (at times) trading a deep shot for an efficient completion

the improvement in Hurts accuracy and his development as an NFL QB has been remarkable

looking forward to 2023

The exact opposite is the Giants.  Solid pitching, but not able to generate runs.  I was just out running errands and On KNBR 680  (SF sports radio) Tom Tolbert and Adam Copeland were taliking about the Giants and their upcoming schedule of 15 games.  Tolbert predicted that they would win 4 of those 15 games and lose 11.  His logic was that:

  • The three games with the Rangers is a mismatch with the Rangers having both a powerful offense and solid pitching.
  • He felt the story is the same in the following three games with the Rays.
  • Then comes three games on the road with the Braves,
  • Followed by three road games at the Phillies.
  • They get a day off to travel back to San Fran and then host the Braves for three
  • Followed by the Reds for three

It's a brutal schedule and a mismatch of strengths and weaknesses for the Giants.

Game one of the Rangers - Giants series goes to the Rangers, with the Giants only getting 3 hits.  Tolbert may be onto something.

I bet if they tried Nolan Smith out at PR that he could actually do it well.

Idk why they design these like that but it's like a monitoring device, tracks vitals and whatnot. A ton of MLS players use them

JC's hands are f'in nasty lol.

Oh man…

Game today.

A lot of the games yesterday saw teams #1 QB start, think we’ll see Hurts play  tonight ?

He's so brave.

No.

They have joint practices Monday and Tuesday. No way anyone significant plays and then has to work with contact two days later.

The Arizona Cardinals might be the most pathetic franchise in the NFL. Posting that after a pre season game?
