Don’t we say that every year about Jackson ? Time he did something

If he's healthy, he should be good.  At this point,  he's healthy.

Agree about Tyree Jackson.  I'd want to see him be great.  If he's as great as a 6'7 TE with a 9.83 RAS could be,  I'd look at him as a starter, to go with 2 WR and 1 TE star,  Hurts and a RB.   It seems that he should be on the field in red zone situations.

There's a long list of things he can do that others can't because 6'7 249 4.59  running QB in addition to TE.  Versatile weapon.

Yup he's a big target, and if he could put it together he could be a real mismatch.

We'll see I'm pulling for him.

Anthony Richardson throws his first INT as a pro in the game that’s just started against the bills. He side armed it and it was picked.

bills get a TD.

Yeah... that's not his first INT as a pro.  Nothing that happens in PS counts.

Preseason, but noteworthy nonetheless.

Nope.  Remember the game where Sam Bradford was basically perfect in the PS against the Packers?   Did that mean anything come the regular season?   Not a thing.

The only really important thing that matters in the preseason is coming out without injury.  That said, it's better to look good than to not look good.

This is why backup OL never get traded. They're worth more than a 5 (otherwise, just keep the player), but no GM wants to trade a 3rd rounder for a backup.

OL is almost certainly going to be the Eagles 1st round pick in the 2024 draft.

If I had to put money down, it's WR.

I do love the approach of day 2 OL (Dickerson, Jurgens, Steen). Get some athletic freaks with questions for Stout to fix. Use 1st rounders on other premium positions.

Ruin his life?

Looks like it isn't even an actual money bet, but a bonus bet he got... which explains going for long odds.  Meanwhile, even if he loses... its only $250... on the flip side, $93k isn't really life changing.  It is highly significant, but the gov't would take a huge part of that.  So... it wouldn't be $93k... or even close to it.

Fairly sure if a player gets injured in the PS it counts.

I’m rooting for the eagles as a fan regardless but i would love to see that bet not hit cause he bet preseason football.

I've been told having Stout means we don't have to use premium picks (which I consider day 2 picks to be, especially Round 2) on OL.  I was told that because of Mailata and Kelce.  Of course, Kelce predated Stout here.  The blue print of bringing in a guy like Mailata is not one that can be used to success with great frequency.  The odds are just too long against that.  And the other OL we are discussing for this season - Dickerson, Jurgens, and Steen are all 2nd rounders... aka, premium picks.  And we still have the top 4 OL pick at RT in Lane Johnson.

With Stout, we've got great OL play for his entire tenure here... but he's not been able to really save this team using premium picks on OL.  The only player that really has fit that bill here is Mailata... but they still used a premium pick on LT with Dillard, so even that didn't save us anything in reality.

Obviously I was referring to stats.

Fair enough. But I think an INT is an INT whether it happens in the PS, regular season, and post season. There’s clearly a difference in the importance but things that happen do matter.

Why do I have the feeling the knob slobbing of Fields is going to be one of the more annoying story lines of the season? One of his passes was a horribly thrown screen pass behind the LOS that DJ Moore made an incredible play out of

Box score scouting at its finest.  🤦‍♂️

I'm hoping Siposs and Zentner both have shank city games tonight so Howie can get nervous enough to get off his ass and sign Araiza. He should've long been signed by now. F the civil case, Jalen Carter has a civil case going on right now. He won't be criminally charged that's all that matters.

Its a combination of problems.

The CBA was specifically designed to go easy on the players with much less practicing and hitting.

Practicing and hitting is how O-lines get good.

The starting 5 get to work together a bunch   (Lane and Kelce are now on year 11 together) backups rarely get that kind of cohesion.

So they may be worse and probably are worse but they have very little chance to show how they can play as a unit.

Bradford wasn't a rookie 5th Round pick.  But your point is well taken.

This is going to end well

I thought it was sarcasm but its hard to tell. He did not link the box score. He linked video to the 2 very unimpressive dump offs.

Agreed.  If Reid had stuck, then it might be different, but he didn't.

The Sixers have made it past the 2nd rd of the playoffs once in 40 years.  It always ends the same

I thought they just said that it has officially ended.

It was a mistake when they made the move for Harden...  and now we pay the price.   Sixers have been disappointing since 2001 ended.
