They brought in Huntley to close it out? Harbaugh is such a loser.

Why not do it at the Linc? My goodness Spads, have you never kissed a woman before?

He did it at the Linc.

Ugh, Zach Cunningham gave that up. Yah, he can't play on 3rd and longs.

Maybe it's one of the dude cheerleaders

Dave went full tongue LMAO

Oh, I thought that was before this game.

At this point the only reason to play Ian Book is if you don't want Tanner McKee to get hurt

One thing I always griped about with this defense was the lack of players who make impact plays. Both Garner and Ricks with tremendous plays in this game. I've been saying it all along, they have elite talent, they just have to find a way to tap in to it. If they can, boy the Eagles could have something. I'm playing them over Greedy Williams next week.

The only better place for Dave to get married than the Linc would have been on the Cowboy's field. From spitting on their star, to making out with his bride. Right after they lost the game.

It was before the game, I believe, but it was AT the Linc.

Well... that was a painful night of sports watching.

Dude wins 94k at MGM

Takeaways:

Carter is a f'in monster

Nolan and Steen had a rough outing

Brown is a gamer

Ricks can play

Mckee is the next Eagles trade bait QB

I thought it was pretty good.

All things considered, happy with the results.

Isn’t Book supposed to be a smart QB? Damn.

I think Steen actually played really well. Nolan Smith was fun. Had one nice QB hit.

If NBC or South Bend Radio needs someone on their Notre Dame Football casts I recommend Ian Book.

He will be available soon.

I’ve heard him called a future coach a lot, but he doesn’t seem like a particularly smart player. Minimal awareness.

RIcks is dumb for the taunting and all the yapping but this is one time I'm going to be OK with it. If that helps him get his confidence so be it. Great CB play with ugh...swag. Sometimes, knowing you not only can hang with the guys but also be better is all it takes for a players confidence to take off. Look at Al Harris. The more he played, the more confident he got and the better he played.

Josh Jobe actually looks good. Weak call.

Really like him so far

22 on the Chargers taunted Skowroneck after a 3rd down goal line stop and then actually open handed him to the side of the head.

Moron!

Impressed with Carter tonight. Didn't look like a rookie to me.

Sirriani said Quez & Covey have hamstring injuries

Random thoughts…

* Mariota… goodness. Make an easy throw.

* McKee was fun, but it looked like he stared guys down and didn’t have much zip on the ball.

* Sermon… hit a hole. Jeez. He runs with either too much patience or no confidence in what he’s seeing. I’m not sure which.

* Welcome to the NFL, Jalen Carter. That was Hargrave-like.

* Smith was quieter than I would have hoped but he had one really nice win against that massive rookie from Minnesota.

* Ringo gave up the TD but overall I liked what I saw. The other developmental corners stood out too. Jobe, Ricks and Goodrich all showed potential.

* I know Steen gave up the sack, but a rookie being able to play LT and RG in the same game is impressive. Beyond that, I couldn’t say how well he played overall.

* Didn’t notice much out of Jordan Davis, but he did have one decent pass rush if memory serves.

* Morrow was the best of the LBs.

* Brown was active and flashed his speed and athleticism. Big fan.

* So did Penny play a lot because he’s on the roster bubble or just to get him work against live tackling? I thought he looked good, especially when actually given some space. It’s no surprise but he looked a million times better than Sermon. I’m not sure what Nick sees in him.

* Speaking of RB, it was interesting to sit Gainwell and Scott, but the coaches know them well enough that they didn’t  need to see him. There’s some buzz about Gainwell being the RB1. I hope that’s not the case. He’s steady, but he just can’t create explosive plays like Swift and Penny.
