Cunningham and Jack were signed a week ago and hadn't been in a camp.  I don't think how they played 6 days after being signed is a definitive proof of anything yet

Nonsense.  We must make all final decisions based on those few snaps.

As I said with regards to the WR position and Clemson, the same can be said of DBs and Alabama/LSU.  Take a shot on a guy... hope for the best.

After what seemed to be a quiet training camp for Ricks, I had written him off as a practice squad candidate. That was just one preseason game, but it was also my first real impression of him. If he keeps it up, we may have to keep 7 CBs on the 53. I figured we'd keep 6 at most.

Ricks & McKee could be trending or they both could have clunkers next week. I think in McKee's case Book was so bad that he has a spot unless he's terrible

Some guys just play better in games than practice... the other side is that we don't know what happens at practice and rely on reports from guys who might not even be looking at Ricks at all.  We have no idea what he's really doing or not doing in practice.

Anyone have an update on the Fowler Twitter hack story?

I have been thinking 7 for quite a while.  The challenge is what position to go light on.  In many ways Ricks was competing last night with Boston Scott and Joseph Ngata and a 10th O-lineman and Dereck Barnett and Oromo and Tui and Jack and Cunningham.

It was his Italian wife

Roster Question #1 would you be comfortable/happy starting the season with Gainwell, Swift, and Penny as the RBs and take a chance that Sermon and/or Scott can make it to the Practice Squad?

Yah, that was the one rep that looked very positive.

I was hoping that Davis would develop more than a bull rush, but he's so strong that I get why he wants to rely on that.

Agreed.

Is it Plausible Jobe, Ricks, and Ringo all make the 53?

NFL shop/Fanatics/Eagles shop have been super slow restocking their kelly green stuff. Most stuff hasn't been restocked yet.

McKee is already far better than Mariota

We definitely are at the mercy of those that attebd camp and their reports. But there's no way for them to watch everything and I don't think they're allowed to make film to review. So we really only hear about the good or bad that stands out, but nothing in between.

Still, 7 CBs seems like a lot to keep on the 53. The good news is we lost 2 coordinators to teams that obviously had issues last season. We may be able to get something decent in return for a player (like McPhearson) if one of those coaches sees the player as a fit and upgrade for their team.

LB. There’s no reason to carry more than 4 and I would consider going with just 3.

Yes

Yes

I would say right now, yes. Jobe is a lock. We traded a 3rd rd pick in 2024 for Ringo, so he's a lock by virtue of investment. Ricks is making the most of his opportunity.

I certainly could see Cunningham and/or Jack cut either permanently or for roster manipulation reasons and brought back

Plausible? Sure.

Likely? No. The reason Ricks went undrafted (character) didn't change.

It'll be interesting to see if anyone besides McPhearson & Scott get backup slot time

Here you go.

The OLB for the Ravens takes a wide set but comes at the snap. Steen sees him and sets to his left. The ILB over the LG seems to be reading the play.

The DT, who set up on the outside shoulder of the LG crosses his face and attacks the A gap. Swift (#0) releases to the flat. As he does so...

...the ILB blitzes. Steen sees him but, because the rush LB set up so far outside, Steen can't get there. It's worth noting that if Mariota had read the blitz, he had a

wide open Swift  in the left flat.

Steen ends up blocking neither guy. Still, I put the blame for this on Mariota.

Thank you sir, appreciate it
