Depends on who that 7th CB is. In this case, The Eagles would be keeping a 7th CB to protect him for the future. Just look at last year with Trey Sermon. There were no intentions of Sermon playing last year. He was on the roster for his potential this year.

Josh Andrews is a 32 year journeyman guard who's hung around the league without playing much on Sundays at all. The Eagles might have a wealth of young talent at CB. Combnine that with veterans who are on their way out, I want those young CB on the roster as potential replacements or even high end backups.

They can get the bottom end of the roster CBs onto the practice squad.  Every year fans overestimate how much other teams want the bottom of the roster players here and they all end up basically being available to be signed to the practice squad.

Stop whining. Peyton didn’t get a dime either.

We're going to dress 8 OL in order to have 48 active, so you only have to sit Sills. So yeah -- I have no issue dressing Andrews since it is a free slot.

We need a KO returner dude, just stop. We aren't keeping 7-8 CBs by going 3 RBs (with a 2 guys who routinely get hurt) or only 8 OL (with 2 guys in their 30s). If you want to keep Ricks, you have to hope they go 5 at DT and cut Tulipoloto. Since we dressed 6 DTs last year for games, and only have 3 DEs...no. Ricks had one good preseason game. We're not hurting the chance to win this year to keep a guy no one even drafted. He'll likely clear waivers.

If you want to have a KOR you simply use the 53rd roster slot for that position.  The numbers I provided only go to 52.

You and I will have to agree to disagree on Andrews.  I see Jurgens at Center and Steen at RG as far preferable to Andrews at Center and Jurgens at RG.  Chocolate and Vanilla.

Found him. He played the fourth quarter at LT. Strong in the run game, secure in pass pro. Looks very strong. Not a waist bender, which is a good thing. He gave up nothing when pass blocking. Strong punch.

Caveat: he was playing against third-stringers.

He has a shot and will at least make the PS, although, if he stacks a few good practices and preseason games, he might beat out Kelly. I'll keep an eye on him going forward.

That is consistent with what Mike Quick said during the broadcast.

I'm keeping them both

Starting to get excited about Blankenship. Between the quality play in limited snaps and him going coast to coast as a starter at safety, maybe we have ourselves a good one. Sounds like he balled out today. Dare I say, he was nice with it?

ESP declared Cleveland the winner.

Not great to get back to the SB starting 0-1

Replacing 2 positions on the offensive line due to one injury is not good and should be avoided by having someone who can step in during a game even if after that game you then shift people around to accommodate if Kelce misses multiple games.

Nah.

The Eagles have 3 Centers.

I'm not worried about that.

When you have 4 pro bowl + OLs,  I'm not worried about their ability to switch positions.

You're talking about what should happen if the team isn't as good as the Eagles.

I don't think the Eagles need to keep a huge number of OL.  I think there's a big drop off after the 6 OLs who many predict have what it takes to be pro bowl level.  I think that the PS can contain extra warm bodies if things go way sideways.

my only worry with Reed is if he can make it through the 17 games. I think his build sets up so he can. I thought last year he looked competent when given the time as a starter and can build off of it. I’m sure he’s gonna be fine if he is healthy. It’s the other safety spot that i think is worrisome until one proves they can do it in the regular season consistently

Dammit, this just proves we should have played our starters against Baltimore. They'd have been more prepared. Sirianni has lost touch, assuming he ever had any in the first place. I'm already preparing for a sub .500 season. Top fifteen pick, here we come!

I really liked him coming out of Pitt. He's gonna be a player.

I just hope the Browns take it easy on us tomorrow. Tomorrow is a must win if we want to leave the off-season with a winning record.

Myles Garrett owns everyone not that shocking or surprising, Browns have a lot of talent

Plus he can play center in a pinch...

Part of me believes that just before that play, McCarthy was told that Shultz's sideline catch was going to be overturned, and he knew they weren't scoring a TD from 76 yards away on the Niners D with time left for one play, so said to himself, "May as well give the world some offseason meme fodder. Zeke, go play center!"

Kelce and Dickerson got hurt?
