Not necessarily. *IF* the bottom of the roster rookie CB is equivalent to the kind of player you can find on the street at a moment's notice at any point in the season. Or *IF* that CB is the equivalent to the kind of player you expect to be able to draft in the late rounds the following year...then you might be better off with a veteran backup center to get you through a season.

Sometimes bottom of the roster rookies are like appetites -- there will be another one coming along soon enough.

You just described our third string center, whomever it ends up being.

I didn’t pay much attention to scheme or alignment in-game, but it was nice to see cut-ups of the Eagles corners pressing and our safeties spinning instead of sitting in deep zones.

I fully expect our defense to take a step back statistically, but I think our ceiling will be higher against good quarterbacks since we’re not asking our pass rush and corners to be elite in a vanilla scheme.

I agree with your first point.

Regarding your second point, I won't be at all surprised if our defense actually takes a step forward statistically.  Gannon's idiosyncrasies were not good for defensive statistics.

So Julian Good-Jones was the 2nd team C today. Josh Andrews is basically the 4th team C at this point. If the Eagles want to make it a priority to keep a backup C, at least go with a younger guy with more upside in Good-Jones.

Has Good-Jones been that good?

careful on the bikes fellas.  very few second chances

Or how about don't get on those death machines?!  Have killed so many people I know.

Pretty big loss for the saints fans

Strategy in baseball is wild.

I guess BGN just decided on the fly they aren't doing anymore post practice pods or even a post preseason pod.

My brother when he was 18 coming home from work got in an accident with a kid on a bullet bike and the kid died on scene.

The police officer on the scene told my brother that the average lifespan of a bullet bike or it's rider was 6 weeks.

This was over 20 years ago so not sure what those stats are today.

My brother in law was an EMT, he actually quit after about a year because he was tired of scraping kids off the road from motor cycle accidents

He and the other EMTs called motorcycles

" Donor cycles"

Be careful out their peeps...

Yeah, but the 49ers starting 5 is warm puke as well.  Get rid of silverback and it's one of the worst in the league.

It was bad last year too... which is why they lost their two QBs in the NFC CG.

Do I have to be a subscriber to find that? I'm not seeing much besides the current team.

No you don't need to be a subscriber - but I misspoke. It's not a monthly roster archive, it's a monthly depth chart archive. google for Ourlads Eagles depth chart. that will get you directly to the current year and top right you will see a drop down to select the year and month you want.

Motorcyclists are THE worst drivers on the road, IMO.  It's a rarity to see one following the rules of the road.  There should be more stringent requirements for them to obtain a license; it seems like it must be less.

It's mainly the dudes riding the crotch rocket style bikes that I see acting like idiots - going between cars, regularly going 100+ mph, etc.  I don't see too many Harley riders riding recklessly.

It couldn't have been that bad.  I mean, they only through the season they only lost Trey Lance, Jimmy Garoppolo, Brock Purdy and Josh Johnson.  Most teams go through at least 4 QBs, right?

Just a couple of days ago I was driving Schmoopie to a property showing when we saw two bikers decide to pass a truck (on a one lane road) on either side of it.

$20 says those same two idiots whine about "sharing the road".

In the story above, it was actually a pair of these guys:

And then cry that the only reason they lost is because the rules didn't protect them and let them have yet another QB to be thrown out there as cannon fodder for our DL to devour.  AND... they are delusional enough to believe that a QB that couldn't beat out either Purdy or Johnson would be capable of beating our defense.

Yup the kid my brother got in an accident with had just turned 16 and his parents got him a bullet bike for his birthday, he was flying down the canyon speeding ran right into my brother and that was it.

I don't know that the problem is less requirements for licensure, could be🤷‍♂️ but motorcycles are more difficult to see and a lot of people that ride them as you say seem to be a little more reckless than your average Honda accord driver.

It really is a shame that Purdy got hurt. Clearly the final pick of that years draft was the secret sauce to a championship.

Only one statistic matters at the end of the day... how many points your defense allows compared to how many points your offense scores in each and every matchup.  Rack up the W's... how you get there doesn't matter.

And the only way to beat the best QBs is to make them unsure of what they are seeing.  If they know what you are going to do, then they have a really good idea of what they are going to do too, and the best ones can execute it very well.  The bad ones may still know what you are going to do, but struggle when it comes to executing it.

They sure seemed to believe he was the second coming of Joe Montana.

If Tom Brady was a 6th round pick, why can't ________ be the guy?

This is where I stand with it. I have and ride three large cruisers- a diavel, a vrod, and a bmw. A ride for me is Sunday morning, 5am, up the river, or trailering a bike to a national park to ride empty back roads. To me that risk is manageable. There’s no excuse for what you see the sportbikes doing.

I stand by my opinion.

I don't believe that is a real quote.

From what I've read it sounds like Mailata had a really hard time with Garrett. That's good.
