We have two years evidence of real games of Mailata being really good, I wouldn't put too much into one practice vs a top 3 edge rusher in the NFL.

We often joke about 3rd and 4th rookie years, but I'm not sure Maliata doesn't still have room to grow.

Jonathan Ogden, Jason Peters, Anthony Munoz, Walter Jones. The fifth could be one of several, but those four stand out, for me.

FWIW, Ogden was tortured by Dwight Freeney time and again.

That's a good list.   I was thinking of Ogden as #1.  I would likely put Munoz at #2, Peters at #3...

After that it gets trickier for me.  I didn't watch a lot of Walter Jones, so he's tough for me to rank.

Then #5 who is that?  Jackie Slater played forever.  How much does longevity count?  What about Art Shell?  Domination for a sustained period of time leading to a dynastic dominance for a team.  Shell, Upshaw, Otto and Brown anchored that Oakland offense.

Willie Roaf, Joe Thomas, etc. ... So many options for that #5 spot.

I think my list would go: Ogden, Munoz, Peters, Roaf and Thomas.  I could be persuaded otherwise.   And I'm sure I am missing someone.   Sadly, I really can't speak to Shell, Brown, Slater, Jones... and quite a few others as they were either before my time or weren't someone I could watch as much due to where/when they played.

Mailata is good but easily the most overrated Eagle in the past 3 seasons or so.

Joe Thomas has to be somewhere in there no ?  Was first team all-pro like 5 or 6 times I believe

Orlando Pace?

Wow, no love for Winston Justice? I remember him having some memorable performances at left tackle.

There's a guy literally named "King" but he's not in the discussion for best LT?

You might have just done lapped me.

I was once standing by a port-a-john that King Dunlap exited.  True story.

I wondered about the odd phrasing of that sentence for an instant before it clicked. Pretty good.

Boselli was pretty good too, just stuck on a bad team like Thomas. Due to the nature of the game changing so much in the modern era, the LT's in a more pass-heavy offense have to be graded on a curve as a result of being asked to do so much more than their predecessors. It's one case where recency bias is counterbalanced by the versatility of guys like JP, Thomas, Pace, etc

I once took a leak in a urinal next to Hank Stram.

Haha Only Fans ;)

I'd love to watch/listen to an OL expert roundtable discussion regarding who was better, Joe Thomas or Jason Peters. Consensus (and All-Pro votes) leans toward Thomas.

There's no way that guy fit into a porta potty.

As much as I loathe his team, Trent Williams deserves to be in the conversation

I would have expected him to come out like:

But he was able to duck on out.

We're feasting soon today.

No.  I refuse to include him in my conversation.   :P

Without looking it up, who was the tackle where the Eagles discovered he spelled his name incorrectly his entire life?
