EMB Blog: 2023 Camps and Preseason - NO POLITICS

SF and Seattle both have enough talent to keep them relevant, but to repeat what they did last year almost everything is going to have to break their way.  Very little margin for error or injury with them both.

Seattle is in a better spot at QB, especially if Geno can become Ryan Tannehill version 2.0.  But SF's skill players are better.

It's gonna be interesting watching them both this season.

Seattle's oline is better.

That’s alright, I am sure the kids will free that time with Sunday soccer games of their own for you.

My kids both have games on Saturdays.

Seattle had the better O Line, QB and coach (yeah, Pete is better).

Agreed. And Metcalf/Lockett is arguably better than Samuel/Aiyuk. Agreed that CMC>Walker and Kittle>Fant.

Also, everyone harps on us losing Steichen, but no one talks about SF losing Demeco.

I'm not sp sure that Geno is better than Purdy.

It's ok, the rest of us are.

Was just checking out depth charts around the league, the Texans very quietly have put together a decent looking defense...at least on paper:

Will be interesting to see what Demeco can do with it.

I think so too, but not by much really.

Geno is 1,000% better

Once again hoping for Siposs/Zentner disasters tonight to terrify Howie into finally signing Punt God. Just Fing do it already their utter neglect at that position is one of the very few things this organization does that's infuriating these days. I get it's only punter and it's not a huge deal, but this is something that had actually cost them. And in two playoff games no less.

Sign Punt God and if something comes out down the road that makes him look bad again, just cut his ass and sign another punter off the street. Had the worst punter in the NFL for a couple years now and that's coupled with bad coverage teams.

Always liked him so I'll be rooting for him. Hopefully Texans give him a chance and not get rid of him if the team doesn't do well in 1 year

I think Cox will hang around as long as the Eagles allow him to and if he keeps producing 5 or more sacks in a season then he’s definitely worth keeping around.

I knew if anyone would be interested in Cox hanging around with sacks, it would be you!

Henry To'o'To'o has all the talent in the world. He's a bit on the small size but having DeMeco as a head coach and Denzel Perryman in front of him could help him become a tremendous pro. Very good looking defense with a mixture of veterans and young talent. They have blue chippers at every level of defense.

I don't think there's anything Ryans can do to get fired after this year. Texans did the 1 and done firings 2 years in a row now. I doubt they want to pay 4 HC's next year, plus they would take a huge blow to their credibility to hire someone else if they did it 3 years in a row.

I have no doubt their defense will be solid.

But this is an offense, and more specifically QB, driven league. I have doubts he can develop a QB which will ultimately decide his fate.

Don't forget Njigba

Yeah not exactly a bunch of people with a great track record on evaluating QBs

Which two playoff games did the Eagles lose last year?

The 2021 season is included where Siposs was terrible vs the Bucs. He absolutely blows, and his worst punts have been in playoff games. No reason the guy should still be on the roster at this point.

Yeah, they do. Really good mix of vets and youngsters to learn from them.

Agree, but their QB coach Jerrod Johnson has a really good rep around the league. I'm sure Stroud will at minimum be a step up from Davis Mills. But yes, Demeco's fate is ultimately tied to Stroud.

Where do you get your gifs from? 1997?

This is a really bad list. No way olave and carr are top 5 and neither are Lawrence and Ridley in the top 10. Both tandems haven’t done anything yet. And somehow hurts and brown aren’t in here and likely top 5

probably go

1. mahomes/kelce

2. Burrow/ chase

3. Hurts/brown

4. Allen/diggs

5. Cousins/Jefferson

6. Tua/hill

7. Goff/ st brown

8. Dak/lamb

9. Stafford/kupp (depends on Stafford and kupp’s health would be way higher if both healthy)

10. Herbert/Allen

Who gives a F what Cowherd thinks? He's arguably a bigger tool than Bayless.

I mean, he's just as clueless and is racist on top of it. Kinda shocking he still has a job.

Makes for a good convo about top 10 wr/Qb combo. I do find it amazing to be that bad with this though
