Nice 21 mil dead money hit  I’m surprised they didn’t make it post June 1st  it’s 10.5 dead money  and 19.4 mil cap savings

They're tanking. Might as well get your book in order for 2024.

For who? Aren't they still stuck with Murray?

I get doing that. however I’d love to know the total savings is in 2024 now as compared to the $20 mil the save now ans post June 1st and can roll over into 2024. Granted they don’t need the cap now cause they aren’t gonna use it. I’m guessing ertz is likely on the block now and i can’t imagine budda baker is thrilled to still be there.

Murray might not play til November to mid November. There’s a chance if they are really bad by that point they don’t bring him back anyway. I’d add been rumors out here if they get the no. 1 pick they could draft Williams and deal murray for picks. And if they decide to keep murray could trade the no. 1 pick and have a stockpile of picks to build around him.

For anyone. The team stinks and aren't trying to compete this year at all. Murray is out at least half the year anyway, so they aren't winning anything. This sets them up for 2024 to have their own 1st round pick + Texans first round pick which will probably be high and they can get two impact players in the draft next year.

Or they are the worst team in the league and end up with Caleb Williams and just trade Murray away. This is the team that gave up on the #10 overall pick after a year for Murray. They will give up on Murray too if they can get a better prospect in the building.

Savings is the same at the end of the day. They already have a ton of cap already with nothing to do with so might as well just take Hopkins hit now and have him completely off the books in 2024.

2 years 30M…void years until 2030.

If we could make it work and it was reasonable, I'd be all in on DHop.

I feel like he's going to end up in Buffalo.

I thought they were stuck with Murray past 2024. Seems like teams are more willing to take cap hits to move on from players than they did before

If Dak sucks again and Murray ends up in Dallas…. Well, that’d be excellent.

Yeah went to over the cap. Basically doing at post June 1st they’d have 35.8 mil in 2023 cap and 40.6 mil in cap for 2024. So if you rolled over 2023 to 2024 then it’s 76 mil. The way they did it with the $25 mil they have to roll over to the $51 mil cap in 2024 so it’s the same total. So like you said it doesn’t make much difference what way they went about doing it cause they’d wind up with close to $76 mil in cap for 2024. Just Hopkins is completely off the books in 2024

Can deal Murray in 2024 as pre June 1st. It’s a $46 mil dead money hit. And $5.6 mil cap savings. With the roll over from 2023 and cap the saved with Hopkins release they basically could have around $82 mil in cap space if they dealt murray in the 2024 offseason. Really they get hurt if they just release pre June 1st murray in 2024. Then it’s a 81.5 mil dead money and 29.66 mil cap hit. Post June 1st is a 48.3mil dead money and around 3.5 mil cap savings

Not really a rumor more as a proposed deal by bleacher report. their deal was baker to the eagles for 2024 5th and a 2025 3rd rounder.

As long as he stays away from the Cowboys and Giants then great.  My guess is Ravens or Chiefs.

Even $40M seems like a lot but I guess it's not anymore lol

The companies give the data to the league

I guess a loophole would be to have a friend place the bets but make sure they're at home or something

Or use something that isn't sponsored by the league (don't know if there are any)

Or... crazy thought... don't gamble on NFL games.  That doesn't seem to be that hard to do as a professional athlete.

Yeah more and more teams willing to bite the bullet. For the cardinals they likely get 1st and then some more picks for murray. They could realistically have 3 1st next year in their own, Texans and whatever they get in a murray deal.

I still believe if they wind up getting the number one pick and draft Caleb Williams that they will fire Gannon and hire somebody better because they’re gonna be in a better position to get a more coveted coach.

I think I’m higher than just about anyone on DHop, I genuinely think he’s a top 5 WR right now. He missed some games with suspension, but was still on pace for a 1300 yard season(if he played 17) with second and third string QBs. Alltime WR’s are still elite at 31, 32.

But I don’t see how he’d work on this team; bringing him in would just mean we won’t get the 25m$ AAV worth out of AJ, and it’ll make it harder to re-sign Devonta

Do it Howie, go get D-Hop and let's get this Lombardi!

Baldy claims Seumalo played around 335. I find that hard to believe.

Budda!
