I’m watching the replay of the Panthers/Giants game on NFL network right now and I forgot the Giants traded for Darren Waller.  He will create matchup problems for this defense if he stays healthy.

Dont think there is much risk in another team picking up a CB with a torn achilles with 2 years left on his contract. 
 

If they straight up cut him, wonder if they were trying to showcase him for a trade and he was on the chopping block.

The fact that they waive/IR'd Cleveland, but didn't Ojomo is good news for Ojomo making this roster.

No…I don’t think it gets them an exclusive SB since ABC would also air the SB that same year.  I don’t think Apple buying ESPN would stop ABC from their rights to air it

ESPN is exclusive. I have not had access to pay monthly per view ESPN in 8 years. I have not missed it.

Apple TV is like 6.99 a month. Cable TV for ESPN is like 100. Sling Red or Orange (not Blue) which sucks has ESPN for like 48 bucks.

This is not a thing.  Apple > Disney/ESPN's current model.

If Apple bought ESPN and got NFL games and Super Bowls, their monthly price would 100% increase. Just like YouTube TV did after getting Sunday Ticket. But I get your point.

That's only because ABC and ESPN are owned by Disney.  If ESPN was just owned by Apple it wouldn't be on ABC.

You know you’re right.  I was living in Denver at the time and after the game all I heard was how they might have their guy in Tebow so I’m misremembering it being grander than it was. 
 

 

Didn’t Favre have a big OT bomb around the same time, I feel like down the left sideline?  Maybe that’s the play I was remembering 

 

Damn, two injuries already. Will the ST’s be  affected by these injuries, I wonder. 

Don’t think we’ll see many of the 53 in the next game, can’t be losing any more to injury at this stage

So about those light practices, no OTA's or mini camps keeping the Eagles healthy? They've lost more players to injury in 2 weeks than they did all last year.

I was thinking about the roster cut down this morning. Is Howie more prone to try to trade guys before the 3rd game or after it and before cutdown?

Yep, very under the radar move if he's healthy. They have some pretty solid talent on that team.

Yep, and that makes Street a trade candidate IMO. He can play a role on a contending team or potentially start on a crap team. He has value, just not here with Ojomo being a very similar player and much younger.

ST is the way to get a hungry player on to the roster. McPhearson didn't really pan out at CB but he was a very good gunner on ST. Bradley was a steady ST player as well. Most definitely has an impact on core ST.

I think he's working the phones now... and will pull the trigger on a deal, if one presents itself.

If this team is honest with themselves... their best ST moves will be the kick through the end zone on all kickoffs... and punt out of bounds on all punts and let the chips fall where they may.  At least they won't have to worry about a kick being taken to the house on them.   They will be losing field position, but they would also eliminate the big return for a TD... they will suffer some shanked punts that go 15 yards though.  

 

The big key for the ST this year.... offense, go out there and score points on every drive... FG or TD.  And just don't let the punt unit take the field.  Easier said than done though.   But, the real goal has to be for the offense to at least MOVE the ball on every drive.  Offensive 3 and outs will be an Achilles heel for this defense, paired up with a bad punt coverage unit.
