Off Topic, just saw a commercial for the movie Gran Turismo. Is the entire film CGI? I think CGI is great for adding to scenes but when you can tell nothing is a practical set it really ruins the technology.

It's a movie promoting a video game.

Jack didn’t do jack in either game. I didn’t expect him to make the team anyway.

So is it supposed to look like a video game? I thought it was a movie based off of the video game? Now I'm confused. I know nothing about it. Just looked like really bad CGI the entire trailer.

I'm not sure what people think they saw last year. For the first few weeks, I wasn't impressed with Covey. But there was a point where things seemed to click he showed improvement each week. It's weird that some people don't want to see if that continues. I guess there's always Greg Ward (for them) and watching him not even fair catch easy punts and allowing them to bounce and roll for additional net yards.

The concept is that there's a competition between the best Gran Turismo game players to become an actual driver. So there will be a lot of game footage that they market and I'm sure tons of CGI in the supposedly real races. I'm not a fan of CGI in car action scenes in any movie. Not everything has to be unbelievable or end in a fiery explosion.

The fact that Jack got first team reps in the first practice told you what they really thought of Morrow & Elliss

They’re going to trade for someone

Smith is going to take the next step this year. Best WR combo we've ever had

He was dominate the 2nd half of last year

Checked my DVR and unlike the regular season games it doesn’t appear the colts game is on a local channel, only prime video?

It said it's based on a true story. I think it's about a kid who learned how to drive real race cars by playing the video game

The firing of Michael Clay seems like it will be a year too late when it happens. Seems like a nice guy but wasn't ready for the job.

People want a player with the potential to take it to the house. While Covey is great at fielding and getting a decent return, I don’t think he has much potential to break one big.

For the record, I don’t mind Covey as the PR, but I don’t like that that’s the only thing he can contribute to the team.

Always take this claim with a grain of salt. The "true story" could just be how during covid NASCAR (I know this isn't NASCAR) drivers raced on consoles for a stint or maybe there was a video game competition where the prize was to ride in a real car for a few minutes. There doesn't need to be much to "base" on in Hollywood. But if the consumer believes it, maybe they'll buy the game and really play it.

You nailed the theme of the movie.

Kid sounds like a versatile freakbeast. Can he run?

Which is dumb because his contract was up so they didn’t even have to technically fire him. I’m guessing after losing the other two coordinators they wanted stability somewhere.

Bussin rating of 99 on Madden

Penny is the best RB on the team if we go by the last 2 years. The guy averages over 6 yards per carry. If you could give him the ball 20 times per game all season long, he’d be a first team all-pro by recent indications. On the other hand, you can’t just overlook the injury history.

Penny is insanely talented, but if it’s close, do you take the upside of Penny or the health and cheap 2 year contract of Sermon?

Not an easy decision in my view, especially with Swift and Gainwell as other options.

Me personally, I take Penny every day of the week and it isn't close. Sermon had 2 carries for 14 yards last year and couldn't beat out gainwell or Scott to get carries. If he's healthy and still can't get touches then what's the point? Rather have a guy who will contribute when healthy, even if that's only 8 games out of the year

I think in a rotation Penny will be healthier, maybe 12-15 touches a game with max 10 of them being rushes. He also said he lowered his playing weight so maybe that helps also.

Either way I'm taking Penny over Sermon by a long shot, you can always find a cheap running back on the street to give what Sermon gives

I don't see any reason why Covey can't take some to the house during his career. He did it a lot at the other levels. He's had time to develop as a WR here too. While we couldn't see TC and what he was doing there, the reports at least were positive. It's unfortunate he's got the hamstring issue right now because we likely would have gotten a chance to see how he's grown as an NFL WR in the preseason. Not being able to witness something like that sucks, but he'll provide depth at WR during the season. They may even give him a few snaps each game.
