I agree with everything you said. I’ve also said earlier in the off-season I don’t think you can just assume Jurgens is going to be good because he’s in his second year, got stoutland teaching him and playing right guard. The Eagles tried similar with Isaac Seumalo his second year and he eventually got benched in week two. thankfully they had Stephen Wisniewski as a backup because otherwise they were in some trouble because seumalo was clearly not ready. Frankly we don’t have a backup in that wiz mold. Driscoll is ok but never stays healthy. Steen is a rookie.  Don’t trust any of the rest.

Jurgens is a better athlete than Seumalo, and probably more polished coming out of college.

He's not going to be the traditional power RG, but if you look at our line, it's flipped, Dickerson/Mailata are the normal right side power group, Jurgens/Lane the mobile left side group that pulls. So Eagles can mess with teams b/c they can pull left better than most teams, but Mailata and Dickerson are athletic enough to pull right effectively. And on screens, Kelce, Jurgens and Lane can outrun linemen downfield, so RBs don't have to wait as long behind them and get caught from behind.

All those things can be true. And i don’t disagree with you on most. I think jurgens was more polished as a center than seumalo. I don’t think that’s the case at guard or even tackle that seumalo had played at OSU. At OSU  he played 23 games at center, nine at right guard, three at left tackle and two at right tackle. Jurgens in college played/started every game at center. as a redshirt freshman he worked with tight end group too. So he had far less polish coming into the league playing multiple positions along the oline than seumalo. Seumalo played nearly a full season at guard and just under half a season at T

That said, there were a lot of people on the blog and a emb saying that Seumalo was going to be fine at guard his second year. And that he was fine cause we had stoutland. Luckily and fortunately we signed wiz cause by week 2 that wasn’t the case. I just don’t think it’s a given that jurgens is automatically good at guard cause it’s his second year in the league, athletic and has stoutland. It’s why i think they’d be wise if they believe a veteran is out that can be like their 2017 wiz that they do it. I also don’t trust steen as a rookie just to hit the ground running if jurgens isn’t up to snuff.

The problem with your argument is that it applies equally to Jurgens and Steen. The solution, therefore, is to start Driscoll at RG.

I kid, I kid.

The battle will be very interesting because Jurgens and Steen are such different players.

Like i said he’s wants a big contract as it’s likely his last big one at age 31.

Kinda think the Bills should go all in there. They've been on the cusp and need a player like this for Allen to get over the Chiefs hump. They rely too much on Diggs. Their rookie tight end is going be a be a good weapon too. Baltimore as well. Their receiving core hasn't been good for years. Us? We're fine there :smoke:

If you had to choose:

Hurts or Jackson

I think Hurts is the second best QB in the league so I'd go with him.

Tend to think it comes down to chiefs, bills and ravens. I lean the chiefs cause moore is unproven, toney who doesn’t stay healthy, Justin watson and Ritchie james as their top 4 receivers. So hey could use someone like Hopkins and he’d get more targets even with Travis kelce there. The ravens could use him but they just drafted flowers in the first round, signed OBJ, Bateman coming back from injury, agholor and Duvernay. I think he’s obviously an upgrade but i don’t think they are willing to overpay with what they have in house already. Buffalo should cause Davis has flashed but is inconsistent and they got diggs. Behind diggs and Davis it’s guys like Sherfield, patton, coulter and Harty.

If Beckham got 15m, Hopkins has a great case for 20. I wonder if any team is willing to give him that.

Hopkins would obviously be a great add, but the team needs another WR with speed instead of strength. We need to be able to throw downfield if teams want to stop the run.

What's Jamon Brown up to these days?

So, hypothetically, if Brown and Hopkins are outside and Smitty is slant and Goedert is TE, the opposing D is going to stack the box to stop the run?  I think it will be the opposite with teams deploying more dbs to try and handle the pass attack and that this creates the mismatch the Eagles want from the RPO. But who knows, my $.02

I still wanna know why he was kicked off the team. Besides just sucking.

We can throw down the field to AJ and DeVonta.  If the Eagles were looking to add a WR then passing on Hopkins for some other available WR just for speed is like Eagles going Reagpr over Jefferson in the draft just because Reagor was perceived to fit the type of WR the Eagles were trying to land.

Eagles offense was more than good enough to win a SB. And outside of RG, there isn’t many questions left to answer. Adding a high profile player is just a luxury, I don’t think they "need” to add anything or any specific thing besides some depth.

That’s an "if Watson” argument.  The Ravens misplayed that signing IMHO.

Since he's still getting paid by arizona this year,  I wonder if whoever signs him will get him on the cheap.  If he's getting 21m from Arizona and 20m from his new team, that would be ridiculous.  Unless that's not how it works?

Depends if any of his salary this year was guaranteed and if he had any offset language in his contract.

Jimmy Butler is good.

Wow!

Helluva finish!

There will be a Game 7.

Unreal.

Buffalo and Detroit are gonna be all over him.  Maybe Kansas City if they really wanted to be cutthroat.

Cleveland would be sneaky if he wanted to re-unite with Watson.

Wonder if the Jets would want to pair him with Rodgers?

My guess: Baltimore

KC does make a ton of sense though

I can't believe what I just saw.  If that isn't a sign that Boston will win the series not sure what is.

Talk about right place right time.

I should have put money on the Celtics to win the series when they were down 3-0.

Hate Boston teams as much as the next guy, but this game was entertaining.

Derrick White just deflated South FL with that tip in.

I agree but I'd rather see Denver vs Boston than Miami.
