Wouldn't shock me if he doesn't wow immediately, almost all DTs take time to stand out in the NFL, but his talent is undeniable. I think he's going to be the best DT behind Donald for a decade.

The hype around him is a bit much. The GDT reactions when he can't get to the QB or misses a tackle will be funny

The punter who set the Chiefs up at the Eagles 5 in the Super Bowl has to make the team because he is also the holder...

No thanks.

That's the punter's fault, 100%?   Nah.  The coverage guys are responsible too.  It's not like he shanked it out of bounds at the 5.  He kicked it, and the coverage team is responsible to not let it get too bad.

Equally, it is also the fault of the offense for going 3 and out deep in their own end, at a moment in the game where they needed desperately, not just to move the ball and flip field position, but to answer the Chief's last score.  It was obvious at that point that the defense was going to be lucky to hold the Chiefs to 3 the rest of the way on any given drive, so the Eagles' O had to match their offense.  It didn't happen.  The Eagles really lost the impedance of the game when they settled for a FG on the drive before that, allowing the Chiefs to take the lead with a TD.  Then they really lost the game when they couldn't move the ball at all on the drive that followed.   A lot of focus on the James Bradberry call at the very end.  BUT, the mentality of Sirianni in the second half was much more measured and conservative.  Put that into contrast to Pederson's 'hammer down' mentality against the Patriots in 2017... and you can see the way that the outcomes were affected by that.  In a situation like that... it is incumbent on the OFFENSE to keep the pressure on the opponent, OR to match scores to remain within reach.  That's the state of today's NFL.  Offenses win championships now.  The job of the defense is to make one stop at a critical point... nothing more, nothing less.   And it seems, that's the NFL's desire as well.   Offensive football brings in eyes, ratings and dollars.

The punt was garbage. Punting is his only job and he could not do that job in the Super Bowl.

There is no equally. Who do you want cut for going 3 and out on that drive? Who completely failed at their only job on that drive?

You missed the point, but sure... cut him.  And who is the new punter going to be?  A worse option, it would seem.  Makes sense.  We should probably cut Hurts too for fumbling.  That turned into an easy 6 for the Chiefs.   And why resign Bradberry?   His penalty ended the Eagles' last desperate hope at the very end.  Let all the heads roll.

I can't remember a player the Eagles drafted where I saw multiple respected analysts or outlets call him the best at that position they've ever scouted.

I've seen at least 4 instances where a scout or an executive was quoted saying he's the best DT they've ever scouted.

And yet it's somehow always him.

I don't know what he could get them in a trade but if they could turn him into a punter I'd do it in a second ;) For a LB I'd pay for his Uber to the airport.

You missed the point that Siposs being a holder is not a reason to keep him on the team as a bad punter.

Nice pathetic straw man about Bradberry. Bradberry is a top 8-12 corner and was a major reason the Eagles got to the SB.

SiPoSs is nothing.

Those are some insane payments. $15k and $30k payments. Yikes

Happy last day of Training Camp

Training camp started? Wouldn't have known with the terrible coverage and lack of accessibility the fans have to the Eagles. The Eagles have by far the worst access and it isn't even close. I miss Lehigh.

Siposs is the only punter left on the roster, after they already cut the more inferior one.  So, again... who will they bring in?   A better punter?   Likely not.  If they do, I'm all for it, and the new punter would also be the next holder.  That's how the NFL works too.   But, just screaming that they should cut Siposs without a suggestion of who they should bring in to replace him is just whistling in the wind.

So, go ahead.  Blame the Super Bowl loss on him, and cut him.  Who are they going to replace him with at this point?

Would be nice if we had any sort of video coverage of camp. Eagles camp coverage is the worst.

Okay Im Done Talking Now George Segal GIF - Okay Im Done ...

Gotta give the new guys confidence knowing they have someone like Kelce to watch their backs

If Brandon Graham, Jason Kelce, and Fletcher Cox have healthy seasons, they will be 1, 2, and 3 alltime in games played for the Philadelphia Eagles

Curious what would level a 6,300 sq ft house. That would be one hell of a gas leak.

One HOF (Kelce) and the other two are going into the Eagles ring of honor.

Would not be surprised to hear that he doesn’t have 2 nickels to run together

Sounds like the guy in the Replacements who hid behind the machine during the fight

Wouldn't be surprised if this carries over into Thursday. Good thing most of our starters won't be playing.

Unfortunately, he's probably right.

That is why I suggested bringing Araiza in on the Practice Squad.  Allows for a learning ramp up … building chemistry "offline”

The only points he doesn’t miss are his own.
