Askin' ain't gettin'.

I agree to the last line.  A very late 3rd for a rental like him and chance to recoup some of that with comp picks later... do the deal.

Unfortunately, I forgot we traded our 2024 3rd rounder for Ringo. So we don’t have a 3rd to trade…

I don't think they saved that much. He had a roster bonus that was due at the beginning of camp that the websites don't reflect in their trade scenarios. The only money they are saving at this point is his $1.1M base salary.

Using the spotrac and overthecap simulator when he’s traded it’s a 3.1 mil dead money hit and $3.4 mil savings. But that doesn’t mean much cause they could be wrong as sometimes it’s not updated right with the contract

Sermon, Scott and a 3rd in the next 2 drafts

I’m okay with that but make it the 25 and 26 drafts rather than 24 and 25.

However, that does create a logjam at RB.

Except Nick has said before that he doesn't plan to have him run less

In all likelihood, he probably runs more. I don't expect us to be in as many blowouts as last year, and have some closer scores in the 2nd half of games. Hurts will have to make plays instead of just running out the clock out with a vanilled down offense.

Well you are wrong. Book sucks, Notre Dame sucks and Rudy sucks. I don't even want him on the Philadelphia Stars.

You left out TD Jesus.

I’m not knowledgeable enough about past posters.  Who do you think has been reincarnated?

This is not true.

It is.

Graham, Sweat, and Barnett play DE and are all around 260lbs. Reddick, Smith, and Johnson are rushing LBs and are all around 240lbs. Yes, there are wrinkles and fronts that change this, but overall they are playing different positions.

The whole point I was making is that a lot want Barnett traded. While I'm not his biggest fan, the Eagles don't really have anyone else on the roster that can fill that role.

4for4? Downundermike? TorontoEagle?

I don't want to blow his cover but if you have been here for at least 3-4 years, you might figure it out on our own, depending on what threads you visit regularly.

I have my guess.

We should be getting a 3rd round comp pick for Hargrave though.  Along with a few 5th's and a 6th

I know, it shows that because it didn't update with them paying his roster bonus which was paid by the Cardinals on 8/1. Giants are only on the hook for $1.01M because that's all the Cardinals are saving from moving him.

Yeah the pieces that the Eagles need (LB, a better punter, maybe an upgrade at rotational DE, a better backup QB) are likely to be found among the coming cuts.  They have a pretty dang good roster when all we can find to complain about is those positions.

I hated the Mariota signing from the beginning but we are likely stuck with him unless there is a clear upgrade that is cut or available in a trade.  A change of scenery for Lance would intrigue me as 3rd Qb if McKee hadn't played as well as he has.

We're essentially "stuck" with our QB situation. They can't cut Mariota since it cost just as much to keep him on the roster, and they can't expose McKee to waivers since he will be picked up by another team. Unless they plan on carrying 4 QB's, which I doubt since there are several other positions that need the depth.

Yea but you can't trade any of them until they are awarded, which is well after the season and well well after the trade deadline.

Makes more sense for the giants then cause if he continues to underwhelm like he has it was only a 1.01M risk and a 7th. Which is basically peanuts if he hits.

Ask them what time they're taking their pot.  Best way to narrow it down.

True, but teams have found a way to work around that by making trades for conditional choices, knowing full well that the condition will end up being a compensatory pick in a specific round. I presume they have built in workarounds in the trade which would kick in if the comp pick ends up being different than anticipated.

I don't need to narrow it down.  I figured it out immediately.

What he lacks in size he makes up for in obnoxiousness!

LB is looking more and more solid every day.  I have taken it off my list.  Punter is clearly on Howie’s watch list, but I don’t want change just for the sake of change.  I’d rather roll with Siposs.

I’m surprised Safety isn’t on your list.

This thread and this thread alone. It’s all I need … sometimes more than I need.
