No fault of Curtis... but when he's your #1 WR... you don't have a #1 WR.   Btw... it was 1100 yards, one year, and then he fell off the table.  Couldn't stay healthy.

Reggie Brown played x and had his best year in 2007 and Curtis mainly played Z so he really wasn't number one. But Reid didn't really believe in 1 and 2 except for when he had TO but not every one can be TO.

But yeah after that first really good year Curtis couldn't stay healthy then just fell off.

49 has flown around tonight. I'll give him that.

VanSumeren is up to 15 tackles,  10 solo.

You are giving me Reggie Brown now as the #1 WR?    I think what you are pointing out is exactly how good an offensive coach Andy Reid was here.  Sadly, when he was here, he couldn't identify WR talent.  But, he could coach his way around it.

Robinson kinda stinks.

Box score numbers to the rescue.  He's around the ball a lot.   He's not making plays though.  He's tackling guys down field.  That's not impressive for a LB.

To me Kevin Curtis will always be the guy that Roderick Hood tackled before the ball got there on 4th down in the NFCCG.

I just came here to say the same thing. He's always around and hitting someone. Probably sucks though. I am also barely watching. 🤣

Eagles can’t win a game yet this season. Is it time to start worrying?

Rough watching these guys in the 2nd half.

We never have exciting backup WRs...

Good chance that changes next offseason. The 2024 WR class looks loaded.

Wallace still playing. Says a lot

Giants trade a 7th for a former top 10 athletic freak LB and the Eagles signed #49.

#49!!!!!!

Speaking of #49 :excited:

Dude is super slow

#49!

I caught the announcers doing this earlier in the game.

They praised an Indy defender for making a tackle 7 yards downfield on 1st and 10.

Do that 85 times and you have good stats on a bottom 5 defense.

A tackle is the most meaningless stat in sports. a TFL or a tackle 70 yards downfield are both 1 tackle in the box score.

I heard that years ago... and the Eagles drafted Jordan Matthews and Josh Huff.

Heard it about RBs years ago too... and we landed Donnell Pumphrey.

It beats completely whiffing or giving up on the play though.   But... it requires context, no doubt.

Oh no!!!!!  Ian Book time.

We found Ian Book's secret sauce...

Not giving you brown as the number 1 just like I said he played x which is traditionally considered number 1 WR.

I mean technically Westbrook was the number 1.

I think other than Fred X Reid was fine at WR talent.

He tried to get derrick Mason away from Tennessee in FA, settled for thrash, tried to draft plaxico but took him off board after he skipped an interview to go to final 4.

Reggie was actually a good find in the 2nd he just fell off after he got paid

Curtis was a good FA pickup as well just couldn't stay healthy.

He then drafted Desean and maclin who both worked outi would t say Reid couldn't identify WR talent he just had a tough time getting it.

For the record I wanted Steve Smith from Utah instead of Fred X.

This no repeat NFC East champion stat is as meaningful as Brady in NE stats are right now.

At the start of 2017 the Chiefs had never repeated as division winners in franchise history(57 years). They are going for 8 in a row now.

If you were to make a worst telegraphed throws in Eagles preseason history mash up that Book throw to the end zone would have made the highlights.

NFC east I think is still toughest division in football though I think the AFC north is right up there or maybe even better
