He took a few, but I think it might been more for a situational role. Desai has been moving guys around quite a bit. Smith has lined up all over. Edmunds has taken quasi LB reps, etc. I don't think they would want to put Bradberry there for an extended period.

Right but it wouldn’t be extended, just that game. Then next game Scott or Goodrich gets called up.

NFL offenses aren't 7 step drop back offenses anymore.  Running QBs and option plays are the norm.  Richardson has elite skills that can be utlized as long as he's healthy.

Traits maybe. Not skills

skill is reading a def and being accurate with the ball

running qbs are what you use when you dont have a good qb

Jalen Reagor is expected to be cut.

Get?

Hey he can return punts.?

I've never been so wrong about a player

His college tape was pretty good, he looked like the fastest guy on the field every game and made a ton of explosive plays in the passing game and as a returner plus he had the NFL pedigree with his dad so that was thought to be a plus.

He played at about 185 pounds in college, then not sure who or why but he ate David Boston and bulked his way right out of what made him good.

He looked so sluggish as a rookie and still does, 200 lbs is way too big for him, seems made his hands fatter as well...😒

Disagree they matter the least, especially in light of which way the NFL is trending. There is a reason classic pocket passers like Manning don’t go #1 overall anymore. Athleticism at QB is just too much of a force multiplier in the modern game.

Only if they are a good passer

Just thinking about Jalen Reagor pisses me off. What a delusional head case that guy is. About to be out of the league, deservedly so

wont need to- just run to daylight they say.

Would be a new twist on the QB sneak: take the hike and run between the center's legs.

Why not just line him up at WR. He runs a 4.4.

so Jonathan Taylor currently can't line up in the slot and catch passes?

If top quality, star RBs are concerned about not making enough money, shouldn't they add running wr routes to their skill set?

All young QBs do that.  I was impressed by his willingness to remain in the pocket and keep firing against the Colts' starters while playing with guys who will by and large be unemployed in a week.

Yeah - he was calm in the pocket.  He probably could have thrown one away rather than take a sack but he also didn't make any bad decisions.

He and his dad are both delusional...

You're missing the point.  He's a Z receiver. You trade for him and move Devonta into the slot.

Also...

Should we just refer to him as sausage fingers from here on out?

No, that's unmanly. It will hurt Hurt's swag rating on Madden.

Back in the day one of the Madden games you could set your players height at like a foot tall so that might work...🤔

Richardson threw it well.

a very good or great qb.  what might be interesting with the Colts is to see what kind of wins you can get with a running QB running often and running well with a good overall run game that runs a lot, and whatever AR brings passing.  Super great running,  Lamar Jackson 2018 frequency of running, a lot of other running, and who knows on the passing.   What wins are gotten?   If they're not winning a good amount of the time,  most, I'd say, it means they aren't running enough.   His passing might become great and they might not need to run, but if they aren't winning, they aren't running enough.

Maybe resgor is better in a different dimension???

Even a full game would be extended for him, IMO. I think they are just testing it out during practice for possible matchup opportunities vs larger specific players like CE said. If he were to move to Nickel CB for a full game, the other offense is just going to throw a smaller, shiftier guy in the slot which I think he would struggle against.

Z receiver.  the fastest wr in most cases.  Taylor has that speed.  A shorter, heavier receiver.  That sounds like slot.

But overall, running backs would be benefiting themselves to be able to run WR routes.  Especially since WRs make more money than RBs.

Remains to be seen but nothing impressive yet

Reagors problems are all above the shoulders. His work ethic sucks, he surrounds himself with enablers, he's more concerned about vanity searching himself and clapping back at nobodies. I do feel bad though about what he went through losing his college teammate/best friend as it clearly affected his on field performance.

ESPN gave him a perfect QBR for the game 100.

(I made that up but ESPN makes up QBR too)

My impression its to see if the can have Bradberry cover a TE (we have Waller, Kittle, and Kelce on our schedule) or follow a guy like Lamb into the slot.

I'd like to see if Nolan Smith could cover one of those top TEs.  Nolan Smith is 10 ras as cb and ss and fs.  I would think that being able to neutralize one of those top TEs would be useful.   Reddick got a lot of snaps at OLB last year, he was really good, and he'll be really good again this year, so do you really want to take snaps from him and give them to Nolan?  That WLB position, which looks like it will be filled by Cunningham,  could be filled by others like Nolan Smith.   Nolan Smith has a higher ceiling than Cunningham and Cunningham has the higher run stopping floor.  What position would Nolan Smith ordinarily play if he would be covering Kelce?

I think it's more a match-up thing than being specific to the slot or nickel. Playing the Chiefs, Bradberry could just follow Travis Kelce wherever he lines up. They put a smaller shiftier guy in the slot and Avonte Maddox lines up over him.
