So let’s get this straight. 49ers have whined non stop since January 30 about only having 2 QBs. 49ers whined so much they reinstated the 3 QB rule. So… 49ers trade their 3rd QB.

From what I know, only starters and reserves can decline and still get the pro bowl designation. Alternatives can only get the designation if they play. So technically the most QB pro bowlers you could have would be 12, which is still a lot.

I’m sure some teams (Eagles), would pay out the pro bowl bonus if a player was selected as an alternative but was injured and couldn’t accept it.

Also, Noah Elliss was at NovaCare all year last year during the season (confirmed by reporters, although they couldn't talk to him), and he even traveled with the team to Arizona for the SB. He obviously couldn't practice though, and I don't think he was allowed to be at team meetings, but not sure on that one. 

I suspect rehab on NFI carries liability risk and I think there arise disputes on whether injuries are NFI all the time.  For example, that was part of the initial riff between Taylor and the Colts.

The only reason Kyle Shanahan wins, Jimmy G, is on the Raiders.

The guy who stares down receivers and thrived on pick drop luck and easy button schedule remains.

The (5th) QB was an imaginary friend named Philip Rivers who they never even talked to but he was all set for the SB that they missed by 24 points because the Eagles were too busy laughing to make it 34 points.

 

Oh yeah, they added a 5 year draft bust stumblebum.

I think the Taylor deal was about moving him from PUP to NFI which would allow the Colts to withhold his pay which Taylor didn’t agree with and obviously didn’t want. 

Jernigan is also an example of a guy on the list but was reportedly at NovaCare all the time during.

I actually think it’s a fine deal for Dallas. Lance still has upside and makes Marcus Mariota money. I’d rather Lance be our backup than him. 

This isn’t about upgrading their backup QB spot. They have Rush and are very happy with him.

This is a Dak hedge. 

This will result in a QB controversy there, and I’m here for it!
