No. What I’m referring to was "top 5 TE in the NFL”.

Well that wasn't me.  I definitely did point out many times the high ras part, but there is always the playing the position part,  which is the player mostly also coaching.

He looked good to me in the preseason games, had the best results. him and Greg Ward as the pass catchers.  But these are preseason games

I do. Once again preseason catches mean nothing. Paul Turner had a lot of preseason catches.

Do not ever talk badly about the Preseason GOAT!

Just about that time Mr.Siposs.

Right or wrong the Eagles seem to love Reed Blankenship and Brown should be starting at some point this season. Trading for a S makes little sense as a result. I personally think LB and WR depth is a greater concern.

Also, Tyree Jackson is a myth. Why do so many Eagles fans think he is something he is not.

He's a 9.95 ras running QB with a cannon arm who was in the Bills camp as a QB and was cut and didn't make the practice squad.  He then played QB in the AAF or XFL or something,  DC Defenders whatever that was.  2 years ago the Eagles picked him up and he became a 9.83 ras TE.  I've been rooting for Tyree all along.  But Tyree was a QB in high school, college and the pros.   Not much on the resume showing running routes and blocking.  So, he's got to learn that.  I don't know how long it takes to learn that.  In the preseason games,  Tyree and Greg Ward were the best pass catchers this year.  But it's preseason.  Goedert is a star,  Stoll is a generic backup for Goedert,  Calcaterra was drafted, and is the receiving TE type.  Someone pointed out that the Eagles aren't going to cut a player they drafted for a udfa guy.  That sounds reasonable.   He could be back on practice squad.

That's not why I didn't watch any, I just have a lot going on at home and haven't been able to watch any. I have a streaming TV package and a VPN with Philly servers, (which rarely works now). But because it did work in the past and because I set automatic recordings for all Eagles games in Philly, it automatically records all Eagles games and I also set up pre and postgame live recordings, so I get those too. Along with various Eagles shows. So I have all of the pre-season games available.

Eagles games are the only ones that I can make time to watch though, for the other games, I'll just see what the scores were when they end.

Hope everything is going well for your mom.

Wayyy too small of a sample size, as you know. We basically have Brady and Mahomes dominating recent playoffs with a couple random guys thrown in.

Again, I would suggest we look at the trends. All QBs are getting more athletic. It’s to the point where Mahomes isn’t really considered a running QB. He’s inventive, creative, with arguably the greatest arm the sport has ever seen, but as far as running ability he’s mid tier.

Hell go all the way back to SB 1 for all i care. It has never worked

Blankenship and Brown are MOSTLY unknowns but from all reports, Blankenship was the star of TC for the defense. That has to mean something. I've been critical of him not playing in the preseason but the coaches know what they are a doing and what they have in him. Brown has shown all sorts of potential and I think he's going to frustrate us to start his career. He's going to make some wow plays but I think he's also going to give up some big plays by playing too reckless.

I'd like a move at safety to be made more because of depth. I've been saying since he signed here that Justin Evans could surprise but the fact that Edmunds and Wallace might be beaten out by him tells me both of those players should be upgraded from. Edmunds isn't what he was supposed to be coming out of college and he isn't even what he was with the Steelers. I think he's off the initial 53 so they can get him on a non-guaranteed veteran contract...if he's eligible for that?

Wallace is what he is and I'd be more than happy to move on from him and bring in someone else.

I think Tyree Jackson can bring a different element at TE. I don't think he's the answer for TE2 but I do think he offers a different skillset than Calcaterra. I've also been bullish on TE2 and how they have missed out on upgrading that position when we've seen a few great TE draft classes. More reports from camp claim that Stoll is nothing special and just a blocking TE. I want a TE2 that can be a weapon on the field with Goedert and take his role if he gets injured.

they can still put Tyree on the practice squad if he's available.  I agree with you on Tyree and upside.   My preference is Tyree,  but the Eagles seem to prefer the JAGs they have as backup TEs. They're adequate.  Plenty of NFL teams have a lot of JAGs.    One thing that we're missing, those of us who don't have access to all the info,  is what Tyree Jackson is doing in camp when he's not on the field of the preseason games,  making great blocks, catching everything,  having the longest pass play, having the highest yards per target.  There could be errors we don't see.

Kind of interesting the OL cuts being leaked.  Not yet mentioned is Good-Jones.  Versatile player.  As all three likely reserves are G/T and Andrews and Tom have been released, I wonder if he is a candidate.  Second time around for him with the Eagles after two years playing in Canada.  I would think he would make it to the PS. But I could see him cut at the last moment when there is a bunch of cuts mixed together.

Jeremy Chinn or Antoine Winfield Jr.

Both on the last year of their deals with teams who are in the rebuilding stage.

I think both stay put but could be moved in case of likely meltdown before trade deadline  (Atlanta and NO should be better than those teams in an overall bad division)

The NFL is his kryptonite.

Of all the ND State QBs drafted in the top 3 of the NFL draft over the last 8 years, only Trey Lance is still in the league.  👀

I got that reference

Not surprised to see Tyree Jackson cut but would suspect he'll be on the PS if not claimed.  Can only think Colts/Cards would stick a claim in

Doubtful because the Eagles still could have drafted the guy. Plus the Eagles probably break that rule all the time too, so why upset the apple cart?

Probably very true…it probably happens a little more often than we know.  Not saying it happens a ton, but I’m sure it does.  Most players just never mention it
