Kelce had an accident Saturday.  Fractured his tibia and fibula and is currently in surgery getting plates put in.

So far everything looks good and they are hopeful he should have a speedy recovery.  I hope so, he's such a good boy.

Dang - how did that happen?  Poor guy

Jimmy Graham played last night. Seems a bit weird that a player whose symptoms got him arrested and then hospitalized for a suspected seizure a couple weeks ago was deemed healthy enough to play.

This is the last day of non practice Nolan Smith can have without it being a huge red flag

Why? He obviously sprained something and they are letting it heal.I'd worry next week if he doesn't practice. If it was the regular season and they had a BYE this week he probably wouldn't be practicing either.

Yep.  He was one of my guys. About the last time I was excited about a developmental RB we had. But never made it.

Dang - how did that happen?  Poor guy

Last weekend we got a frantic call from a renter.  She was in the hospital for a few weeks can came back to our shore condo to get her stuff and go home water was dripping out of the vent in the bathroom.  Apparently the upstairs unit reported a leak and instead of fixing it, the guy who maintains it just shut the valve off instead of, you know, fixing the problem.  So another set of renters saw the sink upstairs wasn't working and turned the valve on.  Was leaking into our unit for weeks.

So we made an emergency trip down to the shore to address the situation.  We had drywall people in working on the unit and so we drove to Lowes with the dogs to pick up a replacement vanity.  Our other Cav, Izzy, gets very worked up whenever we go somewhere in the car, and that in turn was making Kelce a nut bag.  Izzy is 9 so she just pretty much wines loud and jumps up on us, but Kelce being a pup was zipping back and forth, so we put him in the cart to calm him down.  Worked awesome, he was just sitting there good looking around the rest of the trip.

When we were done checking out, I had to push the vanity on a separate cart, so he was in the one behind me that schmoopie was pushing.   He decided he wanted to be up with me and leapt out of the cart, landing on the concrete walkway in front of the store

Like I said, he's a good boy.

He was really not messing with the splint, so he only wore it at night when we crated him.  After surgery he will have to have it on full time

My phrasing was 100% intentional :P

I texted my brother in law Saturday night "Kelce broke his leg, needs surgery" waited a beat and then sent a pic with him in his splint.

Do I need to add "NO BEASTIALITY" to the thread title?

I take the weekend off and this is what happens here?

Go!  I love a Sherman anecdote.

Besides being a ruthless general, and by modern standards a bigot and an antisemite, Sherman was also fond of the theater. He once attended a performance of Hamlet but left early, after expressing, loudly, his contempt for the actors. He was also a painter and his wife a superb needlepointer. He wept on the battlefield when he saw the dead and wounded, but he proposed a "final solution" to the Indian problem. Yes, in those words. As part of his war against the Indians, he ordered the slaughter of five million buffalo. He was probably, after Lincoln, the finest wordsmith of the Civil War. His letter to the mayor of Atlanta is a classic piece of writing.

You know he would have been a Philly sports fan

Got the call and Kelce is doing good.  Put in 1 plate and 6 screws.  They said the break was in a "good" place and expect a quick and full recovery.

In case anyone wonders what this costs, looks like it's around 8 grand all in.  Really glad the ahole didn't fix the water valve setting off this chain of events <_<

I feel your pain. Had to pay 5k for an ACL repair on my first one (and that's with a Penn student discount).

My second guy now has insurance. And I'm sure will be just fine of course.

Glad Kelce is recovering.

Do it. Do it now. Get a safety or LB or even WR depth.

Barnett is in a contract year and I'm sure he wants to make more money.

Baltimore needs EDGEs.

Nolan Smith obviously has a serious injury.  I wouldn’t expect to see him until after week 8
