AnyoneNotNamedSiposs!! They may not be proven cuz they are young. But they have strong legs and growth potential. Let's start with Punt God, Korsak and Turk. And for the known vets, I'd take Waitman, Haak and even Marquette King. I'd bring every one of these guys for a tryout and go from there.

Ok.  Anyone.  Got it.

Listen, how will we know if someone else is better or not til they get a real opportunity? This guy has had his. And is inconsistent and failed at crucial times. Making bupkis for money that can be easily replaced. Next guy up...

Ok.  We brought "Anyone not named Siposs" in, and he was actually worse.

All good.  You have your opinion.  I have mine.

So I'm a little confused about the Rodgers signing and why both sides would come to terms a year before he could possibly return?

And the Phillies gave up a run to start the first. Back to normal.

This was a thing before. TV show called Pros vs Joes.

That's a loser's mentality though. Comparing to Zentner. LOL. Who happened to punt better elsewhere, ironically. This guy had all preseason, including practice (where Kempski charts these guys) and the reports are unimpressive. Including his last shank when the job was on the line.

Not a lover of Siposs.  Just not filled with blind rage about him either.

Tie game.

Was willing to give him this preseason to show out and he didn't. I havent seen anything to tell me that we won't get the same results next year if we play the Chiefs next time, who have an excellent kicking game. Can't let that happen again. It easily could.

Turner saved two runs in the top half and tied it up in the bottom half.

There’s no downside for the Eagles. It’s basically signing a guy to a futures contract just in August.

For Rodgers, I guess he’s just taking away some uncertainty of where he will be a year from now. Maybe he was worried about getting blackballed out of the league so he took a guaranteed chance when he returns.

Guaranteed money?

Curious. You mention a 27 yard punt and a 36 yard punt in the playoffs and another punt that was returned to the five. If Siposs only punted twice in the entire postseason, where did the third punt come from?

Tampa Bay in 2021.

Was that like a magic trick or just me knowing what Siposs did in the playoffs.

I literally can't think of another punter with 2 abysmal playoff games. They usually don't get a second chance.

He plays for the Phillies for anybody that hates baseball

I’d be surprised if that was involved. He’s suspended indefinitely so who knows when he’s actually back. Plus he’s going to have a boring next few months since he can’t be around the team. He might get that itch to parlay the little league World Series or something.

Its not rage and its not blind. He is a really bad football player at a position where you can't have a really bad player. He's probably the worst player on the team.

He's like the Ian Book of punters. Was it blind rage to want to move on from Ian Book?

Yeah I get it for the Eagles. Just seemed like a weird move by Rodgers but I guess that makes some sense.

I don't think they should release Maddox for some schmuck who was cut from another team.  Maddox has played effectively when healthy.  He was healthy all of 2021.  He hasn't had significant injuries that should impair his functionality.

I don't think they should either but if they did I wouldn't care, he was reportedly hobbling around practice as well.

I predict he misses a bunch of games again this year or, he just can't be counted in, he's made of glass.

When healthy he's good, problem is he's rarely healthy☹️

Keep in mind too he’s not just suspended for betting, he was making bets on his own team. Punishment is the same but I can see that being a huge no-no for some teams.

I was playing along with the new Who the heck is Rogers? NFL trivia game.

It took me until the betting comment before I got it.

It will be interesting to see what happens down the line with Rodgers. Eagles prefer bigger outside corners, and Rodgers is pretty significantly smaller. He’s smaller than Zech McPherson. In Indianapolis, he played outside but he was also kinda blocked as the nickel corner because they already had Kenny Moore who is one of the better nickel CBs in the league. I’m sure he’s really just a flier for next year but I wonder if they have him in mind as a nickel CB now that McPherson tore his Achilles and there’s not great depth behind Maddox.

I know all Coordinators are chomping at the bit for a HC gig, but I think some of them should be a little more picky about the destination.  There are good jobs to get, and bad jobs.  Nothing about the Arizona job screamed "a top flight HC would want this one"....in fact it was quite the opposite - run away, far away

I don’t know about that.

Sign with a good team (and how often do they need a new HC, really?) and the expectations make it really difficult.

If you win you ‘just’ had a good team - if you lose you must be terrible. Now sign with a bad team it’s just the other way around. I’d rather be the guy that gets a franchise back on track.
