Lol this is a Philly sports team forum. It's on topic just like it would be at a Philly sports bar.

So I follow a few different eagles pages in Facebook and I'm not sure why, the comments in them are just so stupid sometimes it just makes me want to shake people.

One of the more recent posts from one of these sites suggests that teams are calling about trading for Greg Ward, which I find comical seeing as if teams wanted Greg ward they've had ample opportunity over the years trade for him, claim him when he's been cut multiple times or sign him off the practice squad.

I like Greg Ward, I think he's a valuable guy that can bounce between roster and practice squad when you need him, I can't imagine anyone trading for him, and if anyone could get something for Ward somehow it's Howie.

How does a conditional work if they trade Reagor?

Have to assume it's a just a fifth since the conditions to upgrade weren't met.

My understanding as well.

Could see the Eagles having interest in Albert Okwuegbunam.

Last I checked it was the Eagles message board, and the Blog is in a sub forum of that forum, titled TATE, talk about the eagles.

If it were just like a sports  bar  I could talk politics I could swear or even show my buddy porn on my phone, but it's not a bar so don't act how I would in a bar i act as the rules allow.

I really don't have much of a problem with TATE bloggers talking about Phillies, 6ers or flyers, I'd honestly rather read that than some civil war nonsense ...bugs me more when people tell them it's off topic and they justify it with some nonsense or get mad at the people telling them they're off topic.

Now reporting people for being off topic that's pretty lame...

Jealousy starting to creep.

The prosecutor flat out said though that they have evidence he didn’t commit the rape. It wasn’t "we don’t have enough evidence to show he did.”

Now she claims they also had sex in a side area before the gang rape, and that he had sex with her there without her consent and that he knew she was a minor. His lawyers say he didn’t know and he didn’t force himself on her. Usually in sexual assault civil cases, they’re his word against hers. Otherwise, there would be criminal charges. My guess is they don’t have much of anything in regards to evidence, but teams are waiting to find out if any clarification comes out if he knew she was underage or not.

But my guess is it’s less about what they think will come out of the civil suit and more about them not wanting a potential media circus over a position that isn’t very important. If Matt Araiza was a defensive tackle he’d be on a team right now.

They said they have evidence that he didn't lead her into the bedroom where the alleged gang rape occurred,  the allegation against  Araiza was an incident before that, an allegation that has been consistent from the start. Also it's worth noting that the girls lawyer has stated that the main evidence that he didn't lead her into the bedroom was a statement from 'his buddy' that he'd left the party with him.

It's worth noting that while this case only came to public light after Araiza was signed by the Bills, it was actually reported by the victim immediately after the fact when he was still just a good college punter, and it was known to teams at the draft, so the Bills by their own admission knew about this before signing him and they still cut him when it blew up, which suggests there is a big old red flag for them in something has come out since they drafted him, along with the fact that no one has signed him up since.

Your last paragraph essentially rephrases what I said in the first place.

I was told Tyree Jackson had the greatest preseason ever for a TE

Why is the "Batman" thing still a thing. Beat writers are going to beat it to death I guess.

Dude, just look at the stats. That's all you need.

Watch the interview. He's basically just saying that it's dumb for any fans or media to be trying to pit him and DeVonta against each other. Which it is. There's zero beef there. I don't know why people are trying to make this a story. You have two stud WRs. Be F'ing ecstatic about that!

LMAO

Teams spotted big potential in his 8 catches for 104 yards last year and his 6.4 yard punt return average and are lining up to give up picks for him.

Devon Allen waived.

Greg Ward gone too

Yup, I'm not sure where these reports come from, Im guessing it's just click bait and teams as usual over valuing their own players more than the rest of the NFL teams do.

Yes - saw him at the airport.

I believe the allegation was that he was present during the gang rape and also forced himself on her in a separate incident. They have evidence he wasn't present during the gang rape, not sure what they have on the other encounter. She was 17, he was 21 at the time, they could pursue statutory rape charges technically, though it likely wouldn't be the felony variety. I don't know what that red flag would be though. I just think they don't want the media drama for a punter. I'm not sure teams are aware of something the public doesn't know. Not in terms of the day in question, anyway. If the teams have something, the investigators would have it, and if investigators have it, he'd be charged.

Right now I think they're in a state of he said/she said. She claims he forced himself on her and he knew she was 17. He claims he didn't force himself on her and didn't know she was 17.

But overall I think it sucks. The public will likely never know for sure what happened that day, but I think a situation where a person could lose their career or have it be irreparably harmed where an allegation against them can't be proven is not good.

Well, that's their problem. The purpose of the blog is to talk about the Eagles and other things that don't involve politics so it doesn't turn into a crap show of fighting. When I couldn't care less about something people are talking about that is off topic I scroll down. I doubt the mods want to start jumping in anytime someone mentions diets, travel, pets, etc. As long as people are being cool it's not a big deal and shouldn't be like middle school where we are telling the teacher on other people.

Exhibit A of teams using reporters to create a market. Within the span of an hour it was "They would only trade this guy if the price is right!" to "We cut him"

Bring Roby in to play slot?

Little bit of a surprise. Eagles will likely add an outsider at WR. Ngata didn't look great and there's really no one else. Unless they carry just 4.
